Chapter 22
Falling Asleep in Class and Yellow Rain Jackets~~
The sound was sickening.
Alarms. All going off at once. I groaned, rolling over in bed as I at least attempted to shut mine up. It was Monday morning. And I was pretty sure it was not going to be a good day.
Not bothering to change out of the tie-dyed lacrosse t-shirt I wore to bed, I grabbed a pair of black nike shorts and dragged myself over to the bathroom. (literally what I'm wearing as I write this LOL)
Two minutes later, I emerged, face washed and teeth brushed. My hair sat in a mess of dark curls at the back of my head, semi-tamed into a bun.
"Aw. Not in the mood to dress like a normal human being today?", Finn laughed beside me, as we walked down the stairs.
I smiled half-heartedly. "Bite me."
I heard Clay laugh from behind us.
We chattered quietly as we ate our cereal. Fran hurried us over to the garrage, telling us to "forget the drama from the weekend". I watched the blur of colors as we passed different houses and buildings, on our way to school. The light drizzle outside did not help improve my dreary mood. When we finally pulled up to the brick building, I groaned, interupting Finn and Clay's chatter.

Walking through the halls, I tried to avoid familiar faces. It was a Monday and I was in no mood to socialize. I spotted some girl that had befriended me, from English class, as she caught my eye and waved. I smiled tightly and tried to move along.
I pretended to text someone as I walked up a flight of stairs. Finally, I found my locker among the sea of junior lockers.
"Not in a sociable mood?", Alex chuckled from beside my locker.
I rolled my eyes. "What gave it away?"
"Dex seems to be getting pretty comfortable over there with that girl.", Alex raised an eyebrow.
I felt my own body tense as I glanced away from the inside of my locker. He was sitting on the floor next to a brunette, their backs against the lockers. They both laughed together. Right then, I caught Danny's eye, as he looked between me and Dex, with a raised eyebrow. He was sitting next to a few friends. He nudged Finn's elbow, mouthing something quietly. Finn raised both eyebrows, running a hand through his hair.
I could easily make out his words. "No way."
"Ew. Sophomores.", Carly popped up from behind her, breaking me from my trance.
"So where were you yesterday?", Alex inquired.
"Whaddyou mean?", I asked innocently, tossing a binder and my lunch into my locker.
"Yesterday morning. I woke up and you and Clay weren't there.", Alex answered.
"Well, I was busy getting that stupid fu*king tattoo off my forehead.", I hissed.
"Ohmygod! That actually happened?", Carly laughed. "I thought I was seeing things."
"Yes. And Mrs. Reese was not happy me and Finn had matching 'temporary' tattoos."
"Finn and I", Alex corrected. "And is that why your forehead is so red?"
"Your grammatical accuracy never fails to brighten my day.", I smiled sarcastically. "And yes, thanks for noticing."
