EDDIE'S POV

It's been 27 years since Richie, myself, and the rest of the Losers fought the clown. 27 years since we banded together and killed It...or so we thought.

Richie and I were in bed sleeping when Mike called us, to honor our friendship, to honor our promise, to come together once again to kill It once and for all.

It was 6:00 in the morning when Mike called. Richie was sound asleep, so I got up to answer the phone.

"Hello?" I answered groggily.

"Is this Eddie Kaspbrak?" a deep voice questioned.

"Eddie Tozier now, but yeah, Eddie Kaspbrak you found him. Who is this?"

"It's Mike, Eddie. Mike Hanlon"

"Mike...yes, Mike, I remember you!" I said astonished. "How are you?"

"Not too good, Eddie. There's something important I need to tell you" he said hesitantly.

"What is it Mike? What's going on?"

Mike sighed and the line went silent for a moment before he softly uttered the words I never thought I'd have to hear - and hoped I wouldn't, for that matter.

"It's back, Eddie. The clown...It's...It's back"

I nearly dropped the phone. I froze, the line going silent yet again.

"Eddie?" Mike questioned, pulling me from the shock. "Will you come back? Will you come back to Derry?"

I thought a moment then nodded. Then I realized Mike couldn't see my nod.

"Yes...yes of course" I whispered. "Richie and I will be there as soon as possible. B-But are you sure...It's really back?"

"I'm afraid so, Eddie" he confirmed. "I hope to see you both soon. Goodbye, Eddie"

"We will be there, I promise. Goodbye, Mike"

Richie walked into the room then and wrapped his arms around my waist from behind me. Even 27 years later, my height never caught up with Richie's taller frame. He remained about a half a foot taller, but it never bothered me that much, especially when we first got together. I love being able to hear his heartbeat with every embrace, and being able to nuzzle my head on his neck.

I've loved that since we were kids.

He kissed my neck.

"Who was on the phone, Eds?" he asked curiously.

I didn't want to ruin the moment so I craned my neck and kissed his lips, not caring about the beautiful Trashmouth's morning breath.

"Don't call me that" I mumbled against his lips.

He smirked and carried me off to bed.

"I can walk, you know" I teased him.

"I know" he smirked, and we laughed.

He sat me down on the bed and walked to the bathroom.

"You didn't answer my question, babe" he called out.

I thought about how to answer him, and I settled with, "I didn't want to ruin the moment, Trashmouth"

I heard him chuckle and he walked out a minute later, shirtless and in boxers.

"Is everything okay?" he asked, referring to my distracted look.

"That was Mike on the phone, Richie" I explained.

"Cheating on me with some Mike guy now, huh?" he scoffed and laughed to himself.

"Come on, Richie, I'm serious" I pressed. "Mike Hanlon, remember him?"

He sat down and thought a minute.

"Mike...don't tell me from Derry, Eddie" he said hesitantly.

I nodded slowly. He gave me a worried look.

"You know what that means, Eds"

I nodded slowly again.

"We have to leave soon, Richie" I informed him.

He sighed deeply and nodded in agreement. I leaned my head on his shoulder and he grabbed my head and gave me a noogie.

"Alright, Eddie Spaghetti, let's get packing"

I shook him off and rolled my eyes, giving him a smile. He smiled wide and got up, pulling me with him and connecting our lips.

We had a long drive ahead.
