RICHIE'S POV

"Woohoo!" Bill and Stan whooped as they jumped into the quarry water.

The water twinkled in the sunlight as Eddie and I approached the edge of the cliff cautiously and watched as Bill and Stan fell.

"Come in, guys!" Bill beckoned us.

I turned to Eddie who was nearly naked except for his tighty-whities, like me. He was shaking.

"You okay, Eds?" I asked concerned.

"Is uh...is the water clean?" he queried.

I rolled my eyes and smirked.

"It's fine, Eddie. You can jump with me if it'll make you feel better"

His face flushed red and he nodded slowly, then he walked in front of me.

He peered over the edge and turned to face me.

"Uhm, you wanna go-"

"COME ON, EDDIE SPAGHETTI!" I hollered, cutting him off and wrapped my arms around his smaller frame.

His body leaned into mine and I pushed us off the edge, landing in the cool water with a splash.

"YEAH!" Bill and Stan cheered.

"What the hell, Richie?" Eddie protested and smacked my arm.

"Aww, come on, Eds, doesn't the water feel great?" I defended myself.

"Yeah..." he mumbled pouting and we laughed.

Eddie rolled his eyes and smiled, unable to resist my smirk.

We fooled around in the water for awhile, playing chicken wars, seeing how long we can hold our breath and even dunking each other.

"Gotcha, Eddie!" Stan yelled before dunking Eddie.

That got me riled.

"Not my Eds, Stan!" I shouted before dunking Stan, who then released his grip on Eddie.

Eddie's head popped up and he gasped, but started giggling.

"Hey, leave Stan alone!" Bill yelled disgruntled at me, smacking me upside the head.

"Hey, you didn't have ta smack him, Bill" Eddie scolded as he splashed Bill in the face.

"Hey, don't splash Bill like that!" Stan shouted.

Despite being slightly insulted by each other, it didn't turn into a bloodbath. We're best friends.
