After spending a few hours playing games with Michael, I found myself getting drowsy, so I bid them farewell as looked up to Luke, silently asking if I could stay in his room again. He nodded, so I picked up my things and headed over to Luke's door. Calum cleared his throat so I turned around.
"You're not staying at mine?" He asked, giving me these sad puppy eyes which I tried to avoid because I knew I couldn't deny him if I did. I shrugged awkwardly, shaking my head. I headed into Luke's room and shut the door behind me. Climbing into bed, I huffed as I heard Henry talk nonsense in my ear, trying to distract me.
We need you to install hidden cameras around the rooms by the way. If you can't, distract them for a few hours whilst we get everything set up.
"Okay." I mumbled, "What are they talking about right now?"
It's strangely quiet, actually. Lots of tension. Do you know why?
"Probably cause Calum took a girl home last night."
I knew about that, I don't think they know what to do now you're not in the room. Henry chuckled, and I smirked. I felt my eyes slowly begin to shut, but I wanted to ask Henry one more question.
"Henry...what has gone down with James? I...I can't just forget him like that."
He was last spotted in Birmingham. The police are trying to catch them but they're hard to track.
I would be able to find them, but I wouldn't do that. I couldn't betray them like that. I don't offer my help in helping them. I just wanted to know they were okay. He's still alive.
"Okay. I'm going to bed now, night."
Goodnight, Gemma.
Gemma...that was like an old memory.
I felt a movement in the room and I tensed instantly, waking up. Someone cleared his throat, to which I assumed was Luke, and he slipped in to the bed with me. I pretended to stir, and my eyes opened to see Luke in the darkness. We looked at each other for a few seconds, before grins appeared on both of our faces.
"Can I ask you something?" Luke smirked, and I nodded, rolling around to face him better.
"What is it?"
"We have to attend the premiere of Thor 2 next week...and I was wondering if you'll be my date?"
Well that was too easy to make sure I was there for the premiere, although I don't think anything dangerous could happen there. There would be lots of security anyway.
"Yeah, that'll be cool."
Luke kept a soft smile on his face. "Awesome. We'll have to make sure we wear something matching."
"Crap, that means I have to wear a dress."
"We could swap outfits..." Luke chuckled. I laughed.
"Dresses would suit you, Hemmings."
"Why thank you, Kingsley."
Calum POV
As I laid down in bed that night, I began to miss the person who was supposed to sleep next to me. I felt awful too because even though Ashton had placed dibs on Georgia first, I made him give it up for the band and now Luke seems to have swept her away, hurting Ashton in the process. The bro code was strong and Ashton deserves a girl like her. He had looked pissed off all day but we all knew that underneath he's feeling shit. It felt weird how our band had split in half today. It was exactly what I didn't want.
We couldn't afford to have this drama in the band.
Ashton POV
I lay on the sofa for hours after everyone had gone to bed. I tried to sleep but I kept getting flashes of something so terrifying which I couldn't even recall. I just knew that I didn't like the feeling. I needed a cuddle buddy.
I watched Luke's bedroom door for a moment, hoping that Georgia would stick her head out, notice me here and come rescue me, but I knew the chances were low. I squeezed my eyes shut and hugged my pillow tightly against me as I tried to drift off to sleep.
Drifting wasn't exactly the word that happened.
I was falling in and out of sleep throughout the night. I'd eventually picked myself off the sofa and headed back to my room, giving up hope that a miracle would happen. My brain just couldn't stop thinking about seeing the happiness on Luke's face yesterday.
That should be me. What the heck.
I ran a hand through my hair, sighing loudly. It was always this way. I couldn't help it if Luke was such a...fickle guy.
I jumped slightly when I heard a thump from outside. Confused, and unable to sleep any longer, I got out of bed to see where the noise came from.
Lying on the sofa, flicking through the channels on the TV was a girl. She looked up in surprise, and her cheeks flushed in embarrassment and apology.
"Sorry." Georgia gushed. "I didn't mean to wake anyone up." Her British accent echoed in the room and the moonlight illuminated her face as she smiled at me. I shrugged.
"I couldn't sleep anyway." If only I had waited a bit longer on that sofa. Not given up and gone to bed.
Georgia laughed. "Me neither." She looked over to Calum's door, and sighed. I walked over and sat down next to her, putting my legs on the coffee table.
"You okay?"
Georgia looked up at me, worry filling her eyes. "Yeah, I'm fine."
"You don't sound it." I chuckled. "Come on, you can open up to me." Please. Please open up to me. I wanted to feel valued in her life. Like we could talk about something that her and Luke hadn't ever talked about. I tried to keep my eyes on hers, but they flickered to her lips every few seconds unintentionally. It wasn't even the moment, but I couldn't help myself.
She smiled slightly, looking at me carefully for a minute before opening her mouth.
"I'm mad at Calum, when I shouldn't be."
"Cause he slept with another girl?"
"I'm guessing it's a regular thing then?" She shook her head. "Yeah, he totally threw me to a random room like I was going to be fine with moving everywhere. I just don't get it."
"If it helps, the rest of us would count ourselves lucky to share a bed with you." I patted her leg. "Don't feel bad about it. Sometimes guys just think with their dick and we have no control of what our actions are."
Georgia laughed. "I think Luke crapped his pants when he saw me in his bed."
"Did...did anything happen between you two?"
Georgia looked at me, surprise on her face. "No, no, of course not. I barely know you guys. I don't want to ruin our friendships like that." She sighed. "I don't want to cause you guys to fight with each other." She gave me a tight smile. "Is that why you were pissed off yesterday? You thought something happened?"
I chuckled, shaking my head. She was a smart girl. "I guess I may have a small crush..." I smirked at her as she giggled. "So I guess I was kind of jealous of the thought that you'd choose Luke over me." I lazily draped an arm around her shoulders. I kept looking at her lips, and mentally slapped myself for even thinking of trying anything. But here I was, just opening up to her when I knew we needed more time to get to know one another. It was quiet for some time as I took her hand and started stroking it with my thumb.
She shook her head. "I wouldn't choose Luke over you." She sat up, pulling my chin towards her and pressing her lips to my cheek. My heart raced, but it was too soon before she leaned back. I bit my lip, smiling brightly. That was amazing.
Georgia smirked. "Now you can't complain. But you can't tell anyone, okay? If you feel the need to tell anyone, just come to me and say it." A giggle slipped through her lips.
"Deal."
"Don't let Luke get to you. He's a lovely guy and so are you." She smiled. "Just...don't put a girl before the band."
I nodded. I could do that.
