"Sorry...I thought I could be somewhat romantic and get you that Chucky Cheese you wanted." Calum grinned as we walked back to our house. It was dark, but I always felt safe around my boys, even if they'd cause me more harm than good.
"That's not your job." I laughed, as our hands brushed next to each other. I quickly moved it out of the way.
"Does Ashton do anything romantic?" He questioned, causing my mind to go blank.
"Well when you ask now, my mind has gone blank!" I argued, shaking my head. "He does. Only more subtle ways. I like the way he sees me."
He adored me, I couldn't deny that. If only he knew who I really was. Maybe Michael would be the better choice, as he already accepted me for the girl I was before.
"Sure." Calum coughed, and I stopped in the middle of the sidewalk, frowning at him. I stomped my foot dramatically.
"Will you stop that? Stop trying to prove to me that you are the better guy for me than him! Because it doesn't work out that way! First Luke, then Ashton, and now you too?"
"Luke got over you ages ago, just saying." Calum intervened, but I shook my head and crossed my arms.
"Why are you trying to destroy your band? I thought the band meant more than the world to you."
Panic flicked behind Calum's eyes. "It's not that. It's more than that- Gee."
"What?"
"I'm scared that I'm beginning to..." His eyes looked frantic, like he wasn't sure what he was saying. Just then I heard footsteps coming from behind me, and arms wrapped around my torso. Calum's eyes went larger than before as he watched with stunned eyes as a hand wrapped around my neck.
"Give me your money or the girl gets it-" The voice was muffled and rough. A male voice. He didn't have time to finish his sentence before instinct kicked in and I used my bodyweight to spin the man behind me upside down and onto the ground. My mouth fell open in surprise.
"Shit!"
"Hey, Gee!" Michael squeaked as he lay on the ground. "You're pretty strong, aren't you?"
"What are you doing here? I thought you were an attacker!" I helped him up, and he shrugged, unfazed.
"I got bored and noticed you both weren't in so I sneaked out to find you." He grinned, chuffed with himself. I rolled my eyes at him.
"Thanks for that." I looked over to Calum, who had recoiled slightly and had begun walking back to the house. We were half a minute away, I wasn't surprised Michael had found us. I whispered to him so Calum couldn't hear me.
"Thanks, Mikey. We need to talk soon in private."
"I didn't hear anything, so okay." Michael nodded with a smile. "Can I call you sis? Gee's getting a bit old now."
I giggled. "Whatever."
When we reached the house I headed up with Michael to his room- Calum had already disappeared into his own room. Michael wrapped an arm around me as I cuddled into him.
"I'm not switching beds anymore. I'm done." I giggled. Michael's chuckled vibrated against my face as I lay - pressed against his pale skin.
"So want to tell me what happened between you and Cal then? Or do I have to guess."
"What's your guess?"
"Honestly? I think he loves you."
I know its short but I thought it was a nice ending to a chapter sorry sorry sorry :(
