Ashton POV

"Ash. Ashton. Wake up!" I heard a groan from Luke and Michael as they tried to wake me from my bliss sleep. I groaned.

"I'm awake! See?" I tried to force my eyes open, with difficulty. Calum shook his head at me, pissed off.

"Dude, we have a studio booked this afternoon and if you're not there we've wasted loads of money!"

"Okay, well that hour gap between finishing this and studio time I'll sleep, is that okay with you guys?" I sighed loudly, shaking my limbs and trying to concentrate on the sheets of paper.

"We've got this so far." Calum picked up the sheet he was working on, a look of concentration on his face. He placed it on the table and started playing on his guitar. "You're so out of reach, and I'm finding it hard that she makes me feel... like I'm trying too hard...I'm not being me, it's getting me down...it's getting me down..." He played furiously on his guitar, and I felt myself wake up as he took out his emotions into the lyrics. Sure, the lyrics could have some work done, but I could see us making it into a single. A string on Calum's guitar snapped and Calum swore.

"Fuck's sake." He jumped up and headed out of the room to fetch a new string. I looked to Luke, confused.

"Cal's been quite sensitive the past few days. Don't worry about it." He grinned at me and I nodded.

"Sorry...I just had a shit sleep last night. But I can help work on this one." I grabbed the sheets and read through the lyrics. "I play guitar but she's into drummers..."

Luke POV

Calum wrote about a girl who likes drummers, yet he plays guitar...man if he's on about Georgia that would be hilarious. As well as fucked up.

Calum returned with a new string, not bothering to apologize for his outburst like he would usually. I didn't mind, because the song was sweet. I really liked it. I grinned at Calum, who looked at me with a confused expression.

"This is a great song, Cal."

A smile lit up on his face. "Thanks."

We spent the rest of the afternoon working on the new song, and we ended up going over time.

"Shit! We have to get to the studio!"

Ashton groaned. "I'm tired!"

"Sleep later." Calum told him, before grabbing his guitar and rushing out of the door. I stuck my head into the living room, where Georgia was watching a film.

"Fancy watching us in the studio? Either that or go out- you're in L.A."

"I'll go with you guys." She grinned and skipped past me. I chuckled at her.

"I hope we haven't made you bored."

"Course not!"

In the studio we met with our producer and began recording for another song. We only needed a few hours, before I high fived my producer with a grin.

"This is going to be a hit- I know it." He cheered, "Definitely one for the One D tour!"

"You think?" I chuckled, looking over to Ashton, who was leaning on Georgia's shoulder in conversation. "Think you've worn out the guys today."

"I'll book you in again in half a week. Keep working on that new song of yours." He patted my shoulder before we headed back. It was getting late and I was exhausted.

"Yo, I'm going to bed man." I shook my head as we got back to our house. Ashton nodded, unable to form words as he pulled Georgia upstairs with him.

Georgia POV

"I just...mmm..." Ashton kissed me softly on the lips as we got underneath the covers. "You look so beautiful today."

I felt my cheeks begin to redden, even in the darkness. "Go to sleep, babe. I'll be here when you wake up."

Ashton nodded slowly, before shutting his eyes. He fell asleep instantly. I tucked my head into his chest and let myself be taken by sleep also.

Ashton began mumbling a few minutes into his sleep. I couldn't catch what he was saying, but it was distracting. I sat up, climbing out of bed. I would go to the sofa, but when there were plenty of beds in the house, why bother?

"Cal." I whispered, creeping into his room. "You awake?" I turned the lights on, to see that Calum wasn't there. I frowned, turning the light off and heading downstairs. I heard faint guitar plucking, so followed that sound.

I found Calum in the living room, lyric sheets surrounding him and a guitar in his hands. He didn't notice me come in, but didn't flinch when he saw me sit down opposite him.

"Sorry. I couldn't sleep." I admitted, and he smiled.

"Me neither." He whispered, plucking his guitar again. "Can I ask you something?"

"What?" A smirk traced my lips, but fell when he answered my question.

"Why are you with Ashton?"

Taken aback, I began to fluster. "I...er...he's lovely and sweet and-"

"-You don't seem very happy with him, is what I'm trying to say." Calum retorted, not looking up at me. I began fiddling with my nails.

"I am."

Calum didn't respond, but began singing to me.

"You look so perfect standing there...in my American apparel underwear..." A smirk crept on both of our faces, and I sung along with him as he continued singing the song they recorded today. When Calum had stopped playing, he looked at me with curious eyes.

"You never said you could sing." He whispered.

"It never came up...and I didn't know I could." I shook my head. Calum chuckled, before sighing.

"I hate myself sometimes...for thinking about you at times when I shouldn't."

My breath hitched in my throat. I had to stop this conversation before I did something I regretted. Or thought I would regret.

"Do you have these conversations with Ashton? Like...about your family? Does he know about your Mom? Your favourite colour? Your perfect date?"

"I was joking when I said it would be at Chucky Cheese...although I could do with one of those right now." A giggle slipped through my lips, and Calum grinned evilly at me.

"Let's go, then."

"Now?"

"Yes."
