Gemma POV
"Ash...you didn't tell me what was up with you earlier." I mumbled as I cuddled into his chest at the end of the night. He practically dragged me to his room before anyone could call dibs on me.
Ashton chuckled. "It's stupid. It's nothing."
"I want to know." I pouted, stroking his bare chest. Ashton took a deep breath.
"I guess I got jealous? I just didn't realise we could take dates to the premiere, so once I knew you were taken, you were all I wanted." He growled slightly before pulling me closer towards him by my waist. "I just want people to know that I like you. It's a scary prospect, but I feel better knowing Michael knows about it."
"Michael?"
Ashton nodded. "The conversation between me and him when you were in the next room." I blushed.
"I remember." I leaned up and kissed him quickly. He rolled me over to I was on my back and he pressed himself to me with a groan.
It would be a night I wouldn't forget.
Ashton POV
The next morning, I woke up with a huge smile on my face. I looked over to Georgia, who was sleeping quietly next to me.
Last night was...fantastic.
I couldn't keep that smile off my face all day. I tried to not, but everyone in the band knew that was the face of a man who had pulled. Luke hadn't mentioned anything, but Calum gave me a look as we were in the green room of a show chilling alone.
"You and Gee?" He questioned. I opened my mouth to reply.
"Yup."
"Is she your girlfriend now?" He looked worried, like he thought I was going to ditch her like yesterdays news.
"Not yet." I replied with a smirk. "She's really cool."
Calum sent me a small smile. "I'm glad you're happy, mate. Everyone could see you weren't yourself the past few weeks unless it was with her."
"I know man, I hate how she has that affect on me." I shook my head with a smile. "But I'm loving it at the same time, you know?"
Calum nodded sadly. "I'm gonna miss her cuddles."
"Sorry, man." I laughed loudly. "She's mine now."
"Are you boys talking about me?" Georgia popped her head into the room with a smile. I opened my arms up for her as she crawled into my lap and kissed me quickly, before blushing.
"You're too sweet. I love being the property of other people." She joked, and I rolled my eyes.
"You know what you also love? Me." I made fun of her, and she shoved her hand on my chest.
"Pfft. Love is for softies. We're not even dating."
"I think you're a softie." I commented, and she shook her head.
"I'm really not."
"So if I asked you if you liked me you'd say 'No because I'm a heartless bitch'?" I grinned, and she choked out a giggle.
"Unfortunately I'm not a heartless bitch, so I'd have to say I might fancy you." She pecked me quickly, before jumping out of my lap when someone entered the room. Calum gave me a look as Michael walked in, and Georgia sighed before sitting back down.
"I'm going to tell Luke." I whispered to her, but she shook her head frantically.
"I feel awful." She tucked her head into my chest and I sighed.
"He'll find out eventually."
"Find out what?" Michael asked, and I made a gesture between me and Georgia. "Oh, he already knows. Dude, if your face didn't show it today, hearing it last night was pretty much confirming that you two were more than friends."
I felt my jaw drop. "Why hasn't he mentioned it?"
Michael shrugged. "He asked me if I knew before today and I told him I had known for a while because I'm psychic."
"You weren't psychic."
"Well...I kinda saw you kiss ages ago, but same thing."
Georgia bit her lip and didn't respond to Michael. I looked to Georgia, then to Michael.
"Mikey, Cal? Mind if I have a few minutes alone with Gee?"
Both of them nodded before I pulled Georgia's face to mine. When we pulled away I looked at her directly in the eyes.
"Are you okay with having an 'us'?"
"Yes, yes...I think so." She was in thought for a while. "I mean like I really like you..."
"But?"
"But I don't know whether it's too soon. Or the right decision. What if doing this causes friction within the band? What if you go away for ages and we can't cope with the distance? What if..."
Gemma POV
What if I actually fell for him.
Ashton watched me with wary eyes as I got more flustered. He looked away, disappointed.
"Do you not think we could last?"
I felt a tear slip down my cheek. "What if it doesn't work out?" If it doesn't work out, mission over. I don't think becoming Ashton's girlfriend would be a good distraction either. Lately I've not been in contact with work. Because it was slowly becoming life. They didn't need to watch over me anymore. I don't think they would approve exactly.
I looked to Ashton, who looked offended, and I shrugged. No we wouldn't. Not when he doesn't know anything about me.
Ashton bit his lip, looking away. "I think it's best if I stayed away from you for a while, if that's the case."
"But-"
"-I'm sorry. I can't suck it up and pretend like I didn't want us to be together." I stood up as he did, walking away and leaving me in the green room alone. I pulled out my phone and gave Henry a call.
Hello?
"Henry, I think I've messed up."
I told him what happened, and Henry sighed loudly by the time my rant was over.
Make it work. It's going to be worse if he can't see you because he's trying to block the feelings that he has for you.
"But what if it doesn't work out? When my services aren't needed anymore?"
You won't be forced to break up with him as it would cause more damage to the band than good, if that's what you're asking.
"But what if we broke up the normal way? What if he did something or I did something worth breaking up over?"
You just have to believe that it won't.
