Chapter XIII: Overcoming His Fear of Heights

"Uyy! Saan ba talaga tayo pupunta? Sabihin mo na dali!" I asked her multiple times already pero ayaw niya talagang sabihin sa akin. Whats with the location at ayaw niya sabihin sa akin? As if naman I will back out if ever malaman ko kung saan... di nga ba? Hmmmm.

Nandito kami ngayon ni Hailey sa loob ng kotse ko. Hindi ko talaga alam kung saan kami pupunta. Turo lang naman siya ng turo kaya sunod ng sunod rin lang ako.

To tell you honestly kanina pa ako kinakabahan sa kung ano man ang ipapagawa ni Hailey sa akin. But the other part of me was happy. Happy that she's here helping me in overcoming my fears and I'm just so thankful. At least I'm not alone in fighting.

"Saan ba talaga tayo pupunta? Kinakabahan na talaga ako Puti." Ang hindi ko mapigilang tanong ulit. Ngiting nakakaloko lang ang response niya na mas lalong nagpakaba sa nararamdaman ko.

"Just drive, you'll find out soon. I don't want to spoil the excitement." She answered and a mischievous smile was still plastered on her face that made me more shiver in nervousness. She was a total creep and I just do hope we will not do something dangerous or crazy. Kaya wala na akong nagawa at mas itinuon ang pansin sa pagmamaneho na nanginginig ang kamay.

Idiot. Baka madisgrasya kayo. Stop that nonsense shiver. Jerk up and be a man. Buska ko sa sarili ko pero sa isip-isip ko lang yan ha.

Mag-iisang oras na rin kaming bumabyahe pero ganun parin ang set up. Hindi rin naman kasi ako masyadong pamilyar sa mga lugar dito sa Pilipinas. Sa Korea na nga ako lumaki diba? Mga isang buwan lang siguro ako nakatira dito at ang bata ko pa noon kaya hindi ko talaga siya masyadong nafamiliarize.

"We're near." Hailey uttered that made me realize where we was. The busy city sidewalk, the smoke from the turbo of many vehicles is surrounded the air that makes it polluted, the heavy traffic that we are about to experience, tall buildings, billboards and the annoying noise from everywhere. There I realize that we are now here in the city of Manila.

"What are we really going to do here?" Tanong ko naman. Pa thrill pa kasi eh hindi nalang sabihin para maihanda ko sarili ko. "Are we going to one of the buildings here in Manila? At their rooftop specifically and let me see the view from there? Is it?" Kinakabahan kong patuloy sa tanong ko. Just thinking of it makes me peep on my pants. Thats not it right? She's not planning that right?

She just chuckle. "Hmmm. Great idea but thats not what I'm thinking right now and besides its strictly prohibited for someone to go there without permission." She answered swinging her head na tila ba sinasabing Your-hilarious-are-you-a-man look. Natahimik na lang ako dahil wala naman akong mapapala sa kanya dahil kahit anong pilit ko ay hindi pa rin niya sasabihin kung saan.

Tatlong oras na kaming bumabyahe at sa wakas ay nakarating na rin kami sa secret destination kuno. Salamat talaga at hindi masyadong heavy ang traffic ngayon at kumain muna kami ng lunch before proceeding kaya kami natagalan ng konti.

Pinark ko muna ang sasakyan ko at bumaba na kami mula dito. Pagpunta namin sa harap ng kung saan kami papasok ay mangha ang unang naging expression ko.

On its porch engrave this words ENCHANTED KINGDOM which I really don't have any idea whats inside and what it is. Maybe its just like a mini Disney Land.

"Wow. Ano ba talaga ang gagawin natin dito? Magpakabata?"

"Wala ka talagang alam no?" Tanong niya rin kaya hindi ko mapigilang mapasimangot. Oo na ako na ang outdated.
