4. First Date

I can't hide my smile when I saw my dad's face when he saw me entering Circles Restaurant. Hindi talaga maipinta ang mukha niya. He was expecting me to look nice. And here I am. I tried everything to look nice. I rented this outfit sa friend ni Lee na may costume rentals. If I tried to look like a geeky dork tonight, I am sure, whoever this woman is, talagang tatanggihan niya ako sa itsura ko.

"Hi dad," I greeted him with a big smile on my face.

I know my dad wanted to punch me in the face but he can't do it in front of his friend. Nakatingin din sa akin ang kausap niya na parang nagugulat sa itsura ko.

"Peter, I want you to meet my son, Lars. Lazarus Keith Rodriguez," my dad's voice was shaking in anger. "This is Peter Ignacio."

Ngumiti sa akin ang Peter na ipinakilala ni daddy. Alam kong nagulat din siya sa itsura ko. Nakipagkamay ako sa kanya.

"Good evening, sir. How are you?" magalang na bati ko.

"I am fine, Lars. Sit down," nakangiti niyang bati sa akin.

"I would like to apologize for what happened earlier that I wasn't able to come to our meeting. I had an emergency last night and there was a huge mixed up with my meetings," sabi ko at ngumiti ako kay dad. He is just looking at me with his eyes full of anger.

"Oh no, it's okay, son. Kung hindi nangyari iyon, hindi ko malalaman from Jaime na may guwapo pala siyang anak," nakangiti pang sabi niya.

I wanted to laugh. I don't know if this man is mocking me or he is just blind to see my appearance tonight.

"I think my daughter is going to like your son. She doesn't like bad boys. I know the two of you will get along," sabi pa nito kay daddy.

I wonder how his daughter looks like. If she is pretty then maybe I can bang her tonight and she can see my wild side.

"Nasaan na ba ang batang iyon?" parang sa sarili lang sinabi ni Mr. Ignacio at kinuha nito ang telepono at sinimulang i-dial ang telepono ng anak nito.

"What the hell are you wearing?" narinig kong bulong ni daddy. Hindi na talaga siya nakatiis.

"What's wrong with this? You told me I should look nice and I did it," sagot ko.

"The hell? You think you look nice? You look like a stupid –" hindi naituloy ni daddy ang sasabihin niya at napatanga lang siya. I followed the way he was looking and what the hell?

Maddie is walking inside the restaurant and she is walking towards us!

"Where the hell is she?" narinig ko pang sabi ni Mr. Ignacio at nagpipindot ito sa telepono.

"Hi dad," sabi niya ng makalapit sa amin.

Shit! This can't be. Please don't tell me she is the daughter of Mr. Ignacio? Please no.

I saw Mr. Ignacio quizzically looked at Maddie. Parang kinikilala niya maige kung sino ang babaeng bumati sa kanya.

"Dad, it's me. Maddie," nakangiti na siya ngayon.

Nakita kong sumeryoso ang mukha ni Mr. Ignacio and para pa yatang namutla then he looked at our way. 'Yung parang napapahiya ang itsura niya.

Paano naman kasi, ang sinasabi niyang well-mannered, sophisticated and reserved daughter niya is the exact opposite of the woman in front of us. Maddie is wearing a black tight leggings, boots and black sando with low neckline. She also has layers of big and small silver necklaces. She really looks like one of the bitches that I bang every time we have a gig.
