Peter would be lying if he said he paid attention to the drama club.

His main focus had always been on things that were more on the standard educational side, not the arts side. So when he sat beside Liz and Mia in the back of the auditorium, watching Luna as she rehearsed, he appreciated the drama club a little more.

The actors seemed to know what they were doing, very few of them still resorting to their scripts. Mr.Warren only stopped them once or twice to give pointers, the teens not needing his guidance this time. He had to give them some props, for high schoolers, they remained on task for most of the time.

As for Luna, he was amazed. She was on the stage for most of the time he was there, and when he wasn't focused on his algebra homework, he was marveling at the woman as she did her thing. She wore a red hood over her regular outfit, the cape-like clothing flowing behind her as she went from one side of the stage to another. She delivered her lines perfect, being one of the only people Mr.Warren never felt necessary to stop. And when she sang, Peter couldn't dare to look down at the equations scattered across his paper. He knew she could sing, because why else would she be casted in a musical, but she still caught him off guard. He never knew it was possible for a voice to be so captivating before, but there he was, listening to Luna sing her heart out like it was the first time he was hearing.

Being fully aware of the set of lungs their friend had, Liz and Mia decided to spend their time watching Peter watch Luna. Mia was writing quickly into the Justin Bieber book while Liz vividly described every facial expression Peter wore, the word "adoringly" heavily used.

When Luna stopped singing and skipped off the stage nonchalantly, Peter snapped out of the daze he was put in. He looked over to Liz, his wide eyes meeting her amused ones. "She can sing," he acknowledged.

Liz nodded, a smirk playing on her lips. "She can," she agreed. When Peter looked away, Liz quietly whispered to Mia, Mia's hand moving quickly as she updated the book.

Luna left rehearsal a little early that day, scurrying over to her friends with a smile. "Good as always, moonie," Liz complimented.

Luna grinned at her, smile faltering when her eyes trailed over to Mia, who was closing the very familiar Justin Bieber book. Mia raised her eyes to meet hers, winking as she put the book in her bag.

Shaking herself out of it, she looked to Peter. "Ready to go?" He nodded, slinging his bag over his shoulder. "I'll text you guys!" She called back to her friends as they left the auditorium side by side.
