Luna was sitting outside of the library, her knees pulled up to her chest. Of all days for Peter to be late, it had to be the day the library was closed, leaving Luna to sit outside looking as lonely as ever as she waited for the boy so they could relocate their tutoring session.

She had the dreadful Justin Bieber book resting on her legs, opened to the first page where the three names were neatly written below the title. Mia had insisted that Luna read it and keep herself informed of how her nonexistent relationship was going in the eyes of her friends. She was quick to say no, but then the book was shoved into her hands, her two friends immediately fleeing.

She couldn't deny that she was curious of the contents of the book. Liz being an amateur journalist would instruct Mia what to write, and Luna could only imagine the unnecessary amount of details her friend included. But a part of her was scared. A lot of the book was already written in, meaning so many notable "moments" had happened between herself and Peter, yet she was still pining over him while he showed no sign of interest. It was embarrassing in a way, her friends seeing all these little things that happened between them that probably meant little to nothing to him.

Her eyes darted down the hall, fingers flicking to the next page once she assured the halls were empty. November 16th, Luna admitted she liked Peter. In the words of Troy and Gabriella, this could be the start of something new.  She found herself rolling her eyes at the words written in Mia's neat handwriting, a heat creeping up her neck. She flicked to the next page, then the next, and the next. The first few pages seemed to be little meaningless notes taken by the two girls, just lingering stares on Luna's behalf, and shy smiles on Peter's behalf. As she neared the more recent pages, the short sentences turned into lengthy paragraphs. Her brows knitted together as she flipped to one dated just last week.

It's Wednesday, and Mia suggested we make this more into a Nicholas Sparks book so we can publish this in the future. However, I am not all too fond of describing Luna's amorous stares with anything more intense because if the girl ever read this book, I'm certain she'd kick my ass. There's been recent progress, and with our new partner in crime Ned, we can confirm all that's been said. Peter seems to be more aware of the previously mentioned amorous stares, and according to Ned, he doesn't mind them at all. In fact, he's quite fond of them. He told Ned that Luna always makes him feel more important than he actually is, which makes me a little sad, but at least Luna is giving Peter the love he needs!!! If only he would give her the love she wants.

"Luna has been bitten by the lovebug," Luna read under her breathe, her face red all over. "Isn't that a Jonas Brothers song?" She scoffed, flicking to the next page, the paragraph much shorter than the previous one. She prepared to read the next passage, but a throat was cleared, making her slam the book shut as her head shot up.

She expected to look up and meet the doe eyes of Peter Parker, a sheepish smile on his lips as he apologized for being late. But she was shocked into silence as the person in front of her was not Peter. Luna continued to stare at the girl, not bothering to match the friendly smile that Danielle Georgeson offered her. Her eyes were drinking in every feature of the junior, from the brown waves that ended by her waist, to the bright yellow shirt that contrasted well with her eyes. Liz Barns had spent plenty of their time fawning over the beauty of the girl stood in front of her, but Luna never paid much mind seeing as she immediately labeled her as another heterosexual girl that Liz wanted but couldn't have. But when they locked eyes, Luna finally understood why Liz never kept quiet about the girl.

"Luna right?" She eventually spoke, and Luna quickly learned that her voice matched her heavenly appearance. Danielle paused, waiting for Luna to respond, unaware that she somehow put the girl in a spell as she was unable to speak. "Well, can I ask you something?" Luna nodded. "Are you dating Peter Parker?"

And like that, Luna was snapped out of the daze Danielle had put her in. She realized after her prolonged hug with Peter that maybe a display of affection in the middle of a crowded hallway wasn't the best option, but at the moment she was too happy to care about the outcome. She didn't see herself as a widely desired person, so clinging onto him like a child in a crowded hallway hadn't seemed like such a bad idea. Even Peter couldn't bring himself to care, despite seeing people's lingering stares as he savored the moment by embracing the girl. Turns out both were more well known than they previously thought, multiple people asking about the status of their relationship, which they clarified was strictly platonic, much to Luna's dismay.

Luna scrambled to her feet, growing uncomfortable with how Danielle was quite literally looking down at her. "Um, no... I'm not," she admitted, shifting her weight from one leg to another.

"And she speaks," Danielle joked, and if the situation had been different, Luna would have smiled. "Well, I was talking to Doug, you know him right?" Luna nodded, she just spoke to the senior that morning. "Well, he had a lot of good things to say, and I'm interested."

Luna's face paled. Interested. A part of her couldn't blame the girl. In fact, if more people took the time to get to know Peter Parker, she was sure she wouldn't be the only one wasting her time pining over him. But the other part of her wanted to yank her heart out of her chest and hand it to Danielle to personally stomp on. She wasn't even aware Peter and Doug spoke, let alone knew each other well enough for Doug to act as an unintentional wingman. "Oh," she eventually responded, eyes darting down to the book she was gripping.

"Looks like who you were waiting for is coming," Danielle nodded her head, the two girls turning to see a very frazzled Peter Parker jogging in their direction. Luna's heart clenched at the sight of him, and she looked away quickly. Danielle's left eye dropped into a wink as she raised a hand and waved bye to the girl, walking off just as Peter made it to her.

"Sorry I'm late," He huffed, and Luna shrugged, her gaze following Danielle as she walked away from them. Her shoulders dropped in defeat, her eyes traveling over to Peter. Not even his adorable smile was enough to make her forget that Danielle was winning this battle before it even began.
