Luna was typically optimistic. Hell, the girl was watching the battle of New York from her window, and was muttering words of comfort to her mother throughout it. She was never a particularly negative person, living up to her name and somehow always shining a light when things were dark. But the moment she realized the book was missing, all that optimism vanished.

She was being cradled by Liz the entire evening, crying her eyes out. Her two friends were whispering apologies as she cried, but the girl just couldn't stop the tears from streaming long enough to tell them it wasn't necessary. All she could think of was who the hell had the book, and what they were going to do with it. Everything in there could be used against her in the worst way possible, and that terrified her.

The girls searched everywhere. Luna's bag, Mia's bag, Liz's bag, Luna's house, Mia's house, they even called Ned, waking him up in the process, to ask if he had it. And each time, they were left disappointed and Luna was brought closer to her second round of tears.

"I just don't understand how it just vanished," Mia sighed, the three girls waiting for Esther to begin their lessons. While Mia and Liz continued to go to the lessons, Luna took a small break. But now with her frustrations on high levels, she figured it was better to kick it out of her rather than cry it out again. "Maybe it fell out in the middle of the street?"

"Great, so now some random bodega owner knows how infatuated I am with Peter Parker," Luna sighed heavily, jumping up from her seat. "Liz, let me beat the crap out of you before Esther comes, please."

Liz laughed at the girl's request, but her smile slowly faded as she saw the girl wasn't joking. She quickly turned to Mia, who instantly shook her head. "I took a beating last time, it's your turn," She disputed before Liz could even begin to argue, making the girl huff in defeat.

She padded up, Luna hopping in place as she waited. Mia waited until Liz was padded up before beginning to speak again, "I have an idea, but I don't think Luna's gonna like it."

"You waited till she was beating me up to say it?" Liz scoffed, just before letting out a huff as Luna swung at her. "Ease up Moonie, I'm gay."

"Stop using your gayness as an excuse for everything," Luna muttered, swinging her leg up once more, Liz stumbling slightly. "It could be raining and you'd say it's because you're gay."

"Mother nature could be a homophobe!" Liz defended, only making her friend swing harder. She stumbled back once more, glaring at her significantly smaller friend. "Listen you munchkin–" Another kick sent her back into the wall, knocking the breathe completely out of her.
