As we said our goodbyes with Alexis at her bus stop, I tried to ignore the growing anxiety in me. I knew there was no reason to be this afraid of Alexey's reaction, but it still felt too early for such realisations. And what if he gets upset and asks me to leave? I would be absolutely heartbroken, for sure.

No, he's not like that.

"Oh, I think it's my bus. Are you going by metro?" Alexis asks, a frown clouding her lovely face. I know she feels a bit insecure, that I am good friends with Saf, who I just met, but she should know, that I will never leave her like Marzia left us. That was just pathetic.

Saf and I nod and we both give Alexis a big hug, hoping to make her feel happier. I quickly whisper "love you" in her ear, and a smile appears on her face, making her eyes shine brighter. She truly is a great girl and I am so glad, that she has been my friend for the past... 8 years? Whoah, time does fly fast.

We both watch Alexis get in the bus and wave. When the bus is no longer in the sight, we silently walk to the nearest metro station, where we take our metro nr.2. It takes us to a fifteen minute walk away from my house, but it still is faster than going by the bus.

"So, are you meeting up with Alexey today?" Saf asks, when we reach the second stop of our five-stop drive.

"Yeah."

"Why are you nervous today?" Ah, so she had noticed. Well, better her than Alexis. At least she already knows what is going on and doesn't judge me about it.

Even though I usually prefer to keep my thoughts and worries to myself, one look into Saf's trusting and supporting eyes makes me spill the beans real quick.

"I'm staying at Alexey's tonight." I confess.

Saf's eyes widen and her mouth takes the shape of an 'O'. "Are you planning on having..." I stop her mid-sentence, shocked, that she would actually think that.

Okay, obviously the same thought has gone through my thoughts a few times, but this has never been an option. At least, not in our situation. I'm worried already, that he might get into trouble for going out with me, but if we actually did it and somebody knew... things could go quite badly for the both of us.

"No! No. Not until I graduate and start university, at least. We could get in a looooot of trouble." I feel a frown appear on my face, wrinking my forehead, but I try not to lose my good mood. I'm going to be with Alexey tonight, for God's sake!

Saf looks me in the eyes and I can see honest worry in there. No judgment, no repellent, just worry about my possible or impossible future with Alexey.

"Are your parents okay with you staying at Alexey tonight? I assume you have told them you're not going to be home tonight, right?" Saf asks and the question suddenly feels like someone just hit the back of my head with a heavy frying pan. Fuck! What am I going to tell them?

Saf giggles, noticing my panic. There is no way my parents are going to let me go, if I tell them I'm staying at a boy, OBVIOUSLY. They also know Alexis, Marzia and I don't really make sleepovers, so they will be suspicious for sure. Heck, why didn't I think of this earlier?

Another bang on my head hits me and I finally notice a possible option, walking not more than two inches away from me. Saf!

Saf also notices my realisation, but that only makes her laugh harder. "It took you almost a minute to think of me as your cover-up. Either you are really, really anxious or you're not as fast-thinking as I had assumed."

I shot myself at her and pulled her in a massive bear hug. My Saf. What would I do without her? Probably try and fail to sneak out of my apartment at night. Eh, I prefer Saf's option.

"You know your parent's don't know me right? So they need to see me today to see if I'm not your imaginary friend or a psychopath, who will try to kill you while you're sleeping." A weird sounding giggle comes out of my mouth as I try to imagine Saf as a maniac. She would never pass for one, thankfully.

When we reach my apartment, Bub comes running towards us. As expected, his nose goes straight into my private-regions to check if I'm the right person. When I prove myself to be the right one, Bub moves on to Saf, who squeaks when Bub's nose reaches her hoo-haa.

Mom, noticing someone else is present, comes out of the kitchen, where she spends a lot of time - either cooking or playing games on her laptop. They are not 'Sims' or 'League of Legends', as a modern teenager would be playing, but they are 'Bubble Shooter' and 'Candy Crush' type, where you have to compete with others to set a higher score. My mom loves these types of games.

Her hair is made into a very messy bun, as usual, and she is wearing no make-up. Ah, right, today is her off-day. They are getting rarer and rarer, but mom still enjoys them to the max. On the first day she likes to spend the whole day sleeping around and watching television, second day she spends cleaning the house and making lots of goodies, third day we usually go somewhere as a family and on the fourth day she sleeps again, regaining her strength for the next busy days at work. I mean, I love my mother's profession and how it makes her so happy, but I also see how tired it makes her, so we try to help her as much as we can.

"Mom, meet Saf. She lives nearby the dog park." I introduce as a beam appears on Saf's face and an expression of confusion and happiness appears on my mom's face. She knows my only friends for the majority of my life have been Alexis and Marzia, so this probably feels very weird and uncommon for her.

Saf goes and hugs my mom, which leaves her even more surprised. Thank God, that my mom is very talkative and friendly, just like Saf and they feel good around each other. When they start talking about Saf's school and mom offers her cookies, I quietly retreat to my room to put clothes for tonight in there.

Taking my last year's school bag, which is black, of course, I place a pair of black, new sweatpants, two grey t-shirts and a pair of cozy, fluffy socks in my bag. Even though every other girl might've put some sexy lingery, thongs and what else in there, if they were in my place, I was certain that nothing like that should happen tonight. We can't have sex. Not yet. This is just a sleepover, where we both will be careful and will think with our brain.

When I come out of the room, Saf meets my eyes and smiles me a brilliant smile. "I already told your mom you're staying at my place tonight and she said yes!"

I almost blow our cover by asking what does she mean, but my brain, thankfully, remembers what's happening and smiles back at Saf and mom.

"Do you want a cookie, Adèle?" Mom offers, holding the big plate with her signature chocolate chip cookies. I take three and stuff them all in my mouth, because of a small vibrating sensation in my pocket. Meaning - a text.

*Are you ready to go?x*

*I'll be out in a minute.x*

I turn to Saf, who looks at me with understanding. "Mom, we're gonna go, alright? We still wanted to make something to eat at Saf's place." I say.

"Why don't you eat here? I can make something for you girls." Mom asks, opening the refrigerator to see what it contains. When she realises she should go shopping, she lets us go without forcing us into eating massive amounts of food.

"Bye, mom." I kiss mom on both of her cheeks and we leave our small, but light apartment.

Outside, I can already see Alexey's glamorous car and his dark silhouette. Saf whistles when she notices Alexey's car. "Niice."

I smile and hug her, whispering "Do you want to meet him?"
