"Is everything okay, Adèle?" Saf looks at me worriedly and I try to fix my face as fast
as I can possibly manage, unless I want to tell her about Alexey and me being a complete dumbass."Yeah, Saf, just... unnecessary drama." I struggle to find the right words to describe my unfortunate situation.
"Do you...want to talk about it?" Saf looks nervous asking me that, which makes me feel bad for her, so I decide to tell her.
Maybe it will help me figure out what I really want and clear my mind.
We walk over to one of the wooden benches near to us, that Bub has already managed to pee on, and sit down.
"Please don't think I'm a weirdo, but..." I need to take a deep breath for the next part I'm going to say. "I think I'm falling in love with my teacher."
I see a hint of shock appear on Saf's face, so I quickly turn my head to the opposite side, so I can still somehow manage to tell her my confession.
"Please don't tell me he's a bald old guy." Saf whispers and I can't hold my laughter.
"Of course not, Saf. He's, like, five years older than me. And he's smoking hot, you have no idea."
I hear Saf release a small sigh of relief and it makes me laugh even more. How could she even imagine me crushing an old bald teacher? Haha, never in a lifetime.
"Do you have his picture?" She asks me and I have to admit, that I have. I took it one day, when I didn't have a lesson with him, but I saw him in the backyard of the school, smoking.
"Whoah, he IS hot. Does he know you like him?" Saf seems totally cool about my dirty little secret and it makes me smile. I love people, who are open-minded and don't judge anyone based on their choices.
"Well, I don't think so. I mean, he just invited me to be friends on Facebook, but I don't think it means anything." I fell my face frowning a bit and I can't control it.
"Do you want to find out?" Saf smiles a devilish smile and I start to wonder what's she stirring in the blue head of hers.
I nod.
The cold winter air flows a cold breeze towards us and it makes me shiver a bit, but Saf seems to feel perfectly fine even though she is only wearing a leather jacket, that seems more fit for fall or maybe spring.
Bub also runs toward us and jumps on the bench to play with Saf, but notices another dog and quickly makes his way towards him before Saf even manages to touch him. Well, at least he'll be entertained for a while.
"So, since he invited you on Facebook, it means he must like you enough to want you as his Facebook friendz right?" Her eyes are shining so brightly, that they could illuminate the whole park.
I nod again, not really sure what I should say.
"Do you have messenger?"
I nod for the third time, but finally my brain catches up with her plan and my mouth falls open.
"I can't message him! What if he doesn't like me even the tiniest bit and now will think I'm a creep and our lessons together will be awkward as heck?" I feel panic rising in my throat and it makes it hard to breathe, so I'm left breathing so heavily like I just climbed a mountain or something.
"Calm down, Adéle. You can start with just waving him. If he replies, you can ask him about school and how he likes it. Deal?" She smiles and I have to admit, that her plan seems okay, but I still feel a hint of fear.
My hands are shaking like crazy when I take out my phone from the pocket, so Saf shoots me a worried look.
"Don't die of a heart attack or something, okay? I like you too much to lose you already." We both burst out giggling and for a second I feel less nervous, but it fades away as soon as I open the messenger app.
Since I just accepted his invitation, we already have a window for chatting open and the option 'wave' is boldly across the screen.
I hesitate for a moment, not completely sure if this is the right thing to do, but when I look at Saf, she looks so incouraging and supportive, that I have a sudden idea.
"Saf...Could you do it for me? I'm not sure I can do this."She nods, so I hand her the phone and she immediately presses on the button.
"Done." She beams and I can't help but smile back. "It feels good, doesn't it? Finally doing something you've wanted to do for a while?"
I nod and look around for Bub.
He's not in my sight, so I get a tiny panic attack, but I notice, that he's sleeping right under our bench and I calm down.
God, my feelings today are all crazy. I don't think I've ever been this stressed out.
We both hear my phone vibrate and our eyes lock momentarily.
A lazy smile spreads across Saf's face and I take my phone from her to unlock it.
My. Heart.
"He waved back and also sent a message!" I squeak and feel tears of joy in my eyes.
Saf pulls my phone out of my hands and reads the message out loud.
*Hello, Adéle. How was your day?*
The cold wind seems to be turning into burning flames as my cheeks colour redder.
"What are you waiting for, Adéle? Answer him!" Saf seems as excited as I am.
"What do I say?"
"Tell him you desperately need coffee, so maybe he'll take you out on coffee date!" Saf jokes, but I decide to write so. Let's give it the old college try.
*Would be better if I got some coffee in my system. :D How was yours, Mr.Bogdanovych?*
We both anxiously wait for his reply, both of us unsure how exactly this will go. You see, I used his last name for a reason- if he wants, this is a good opportunity for him to offer first-name basis.
Thankfully, Alexey doesn't make us wait long with his reply, making me feel relieved, that he's not a slow typer, because that annoys me in a very deep level.
*Can I take you out for coffee, Adéle? And, please, call me Alexey. ;)*
Oh. My. God. Finally.
