Perrie's P.O.V

"Jade...what are you-"

"Perrie!" she cried, throwing her arms around me.

I pushed her away and her face fell, a crease forming on her forehead.

"Jade, what the hell are you doing here, how did you get here?" I asked.

"Aren't you happy to see me?"

"You sent me hate mail, Jade! What were you thinking?!" I screamed.

"I had to get your attention some how! You have your perfect house, you have your perfect boyfriend, you have a family! What about me?! I live with an old pervert-"

"You were sold?" I gasped.

"Yes! And you didn't care!" she shouted, "here, I got this for the baby."

She sat a floppy-eared rabbit toy on the windowsill and marched towards the door, her cheeks flushed.

"Jade...the baby died," I whispered, clutching the teddy in my hands.

She turned to face me and I looked down at the ground, feeling ashamed for leaving her by herself for so long.

"What's happened to us?" she asked, throwing herself at me.

I wrapped my arms around her and cried into her shoulder, I was always like the big sister and now Jade was the one holding me.

"I'm sorry," I mumbled.

"Me too," she sighed, "for everything."

"Come with me," I said, leading her down the long hallways.

We stood outside the large window and I pointed towards Noah, waving the bunny's hand.

"But you said-"

"He has no one, Jade. He's all alone," I cried.

"Perrie, you can't replace the baby you lost with a new one," she said a little harshly.

"I'm not! It's just...I don't want him going to any old foster home, it's not his fault his mum is ill," I said sadly.

She sighed and I dragged her inside where the young nurse was still attending newborns.

"Hello again," she smiled," you brought a friend?"

"This is Jade," I said, keeping my focus on baby Noah.

Jade waved awkwardly and I placed the bunny by his head as he wriggled around, trying to grab his floppy ears. He grasped them in his tiny hands and sucked at his fur until it was flat and soggy. I shook my head and picked him up, accompanied by his new best friend.

"Look at him, Jade. Isn't he the cutest thing?" I smiled.

"Yes, Perrie. Of course he is, but he's not yours-"

"I won't let the same thing happen to him!" I cried, causing Noah to whimper loudly, "you know what it was like Jade, being paraded around in front of creeps with a load of cash in their pockets. I won't let that happen to Noah, he deserves better."

The nurse looked concerned as Noah began to cry softly, nuzzling into my chest and clawing at my gown.

"He's hungry," she said, "I know you mean well but you're still so young, he needs to be placed in a secure home with loving parents."

"She's right," Jade nodded.

Noah looked up at me with his bottom lip pursed, the bunny toy being choked in his fist.

"I could look after him, me and Zayn-"

"Zayn Malik?" the nurse gasped.

I nodded.

"Oh my god!" she cried, "you...your'e Perrie?!"

"That's me."

I looked up a the clock, 4pm, Zayn would be arriving soon.

We helped the nurse, Kate, with the feeding and I couldn't help but get emotional. I knew no adoption agency would give a child to yet another child.
