Perrie's P.O.V
I found the library on Google Maps, which to me was very difficult as I hadn't had much experience with modern technology. It was pretty far away but walking helped me think.
At the POG I often strolled round the perimeter of the garden, just thinking about the things that were bothering me that I couldn't talk to Jade about. I missed Jade...I needed her to confide in. What would she have to say about all this?
When we were thirteen we often talked about what sex would be like and our thoughts or worries.
This was my worry.
I walked and walked and walked and never really got anywhere. Everywhere I looked there were trees and sheep and cows, no libraries or bookshops in sight! A small green truck with a sheepdog peering out the window slowed down beside me, a friendly faced old woman smiling back at me.
"Where you off to honey?" she asked cheerfully," there's nothing around here for miles yet."
I groaned and looked down at my thudding swollen feet, squinting my eyes at he distant fog.
"Maybe I should just turn back," I sighed.
"You off somewhere in particular?"
"The library," I grinned, expecting her to look shocked.
She smiled and called the dog into the back seat, doing the whole; "good girl..." "who's such a clever doggy?"crap.
"Ill take you sweetie, I'm heading into town anyway and it's way too long to walk."
I grinned and thanked her, hopping into the dog's seat that smelt of damp compared to Zayn's leather interior. She started up the rickety car that bounced slightly before juttering off, making me gasp at the flipping sensation inside me. I laughed nervously and pushed it aside, hoping she hadn't noticed and stared out of the window.
"Thank you for...saving me?" I said awkwardly.
She laughed softly and checked the dog that she frequently looked at in the rear mirror, calling it Lucky which seemed quite unlikely. It didn't seem to be giving her much luck with her driving.
We came to a small village at long last, the awkward silence killing me. She pulled up outside the old library that looked like it had once been a church, the dog jumping over and licking my face. I screamed and pushed her away, scratching her ruff as she slobbered all over the headboard.
"Hey wait...I recognise-"
"Thank you very much," I said quickly, waving to both her and Lucky before sprinting into the mild warmth of the library.
I knew where that was going. After Zayn had taken me to McDonalds the paps had me on the front cover of nearly every magazine going, meaning most people here would know who I was.
I had to keep a low profile.
The library was dead, thank god. It would be such an embarrassment if someone caught me reading books about pregnancy. I looked for a "healthcare" isle, hoping to find what I was looking for. The books were seriously disturbing, pictures of organs and other human body parts traumatising me. I picked one that had a rather large rounded stomach sprawled all over it, screwing my face up at the strange new figure the woman had. I had always been skinny, I hated the thought of looking like a beached whale for nine whole months.
I read through some of the information, struggling to stop myself from gagging. The pictures made my heart skip a beat, the thing inside me like a tiny seahorse that seemed to glow in the pit of my stomach. My gut twisted at the thought of lying in a hospital bed, screaming at Zayn for what he did to me and the pain I was going through.
No, no way.
