John came in with Sadie following behind him, a balloon in her hand. John smiled at us, “Hey guys, you’re back.”

“Yeah, we stayed at a hotel last night,” Logan said.

“Alright, so have you thought anymore about what we talked about the other day?” He asked tilting his head towards his daughter. Sadie was playing with her balloon, but she took the time to smile and wave at me and Logan.

I waved back at her while Logan said, “Yeah, we wanted to talk to you about that.”

“Sadie? Why don’t you go play with your toys? I have to talk to Logan and Camille.”

Sadie frowned, “Why can’t I hear?” That was when I had an idea.

I crouched down to look Sadie in the eye while I said, “How about when we’re done talking with your dad, I’ll tell you a secret.”

“What kind of secret?” She asked.

I smiled, “A very secret one that you can’t tell anyone about. So do we have a deal?” I extended my hand and after hesitating slightly, Sadie shook it before running off. I stood up and Logan took my hand, then we all walked into the living room.

After sitting down, Logan started the conversation by saying, “Last night Camille and I got a little bit drunk and we uh we got married.”

Instead of getting mad, John chuckled, “Congratulations. That’s pretty exciting; I wish I could’ve been there to see it.”

Logan looked as stunned as I felt, but he nodded and continued, “And we were talking. We agreed to adopt Sadie after…. you know….”

“You can say ‘after you die’. Anyways, that’s good to hear and especially good timing. The hospital decided that I should stay there for the next few weeks so we need to go to court and get custody switched to you. I think it would be better to get it done now.”

“If were done for right now, can I go talk to Sadie?” I asked.

“Sure,” John agreed.

“Do you want me to tell her about coming to live with us?”

“Yeah, I guess so. Just try to sugar coat it.” John agreed. I nodded and found Sadie’s room where I knocked on the door lightly.

“Come in,” She yelled. I opened the door and joined her on the floor. She was coloring in a Disney picture book and looked up to see me come in. “Can I know the secret now?”

“In a minute,” I promised. “Sadie, you know how your dad is sick?” She nodded and I went on, “Well, would you like to stay with Logan and my house for a while? You can still visit him.”

“Like a long sleepover!” She agreed enthusiastically. I nodded encouragingly, glad that she had agreed.

“Do you want to see that secret now?” I asked and she bobbed her head. I glanced at the door and saw Logan smiling at us. He noticed my stare and shut the door so John wouldn’t find out. I turned back to Sadie and held out my hands. Focusing on my dormant magic, I was able to push it from my hands in the form of a little dolphin made of water. I turned it to plastic and gave it to an amazed Sadie, whispering, “I’m magic.”

“Wow!” She exclaimed as she held onto the dolphin.

“Remember, you can’t tell anyone. This is our little secret.”

“Not even Daddy?”

“Nope, no one can know, ok?”

“Ok,” She agreed easily.

“Did you know that you glow when you do that?” Logan whispered into my ear. I shivered and got up, pulling him with me, back to his bedroom. When we reached it, I turned and kissed him, tangling my hands in his hair. He was responded immediately, putting his hands on my hips and biting my lip. I opened my mouth, but it soon became obvious he wasn’t going to do anything other than kiss me. So I took the initiative by slipping my hands under his shirt and running them up his abs. Logan froze and caught my wrists with his hands, pulling away from my lips. “Camille, we can’t.”

“We won’t,” I promised. “Just let me do this.” Logan sighed, but released my hands, leaving me free to do what I wanted.

After making out for a few minutes we lied down and I just stared at him, memorizing his face. Neither Logan nor I said anything for a few minutes, we just lay there, hands intertwined.

Finally the silence got to me and I whispered, “I love you.”

“I love you more.”

“Impossible,” I argued.

“Nope, I defiantly love you more.”

“No, I- listen to us. We’re turning into one of those couples that can’t be apart for more than ten minutes.”

“Is that so bad?” Logan murmured, turning to face me.

I felt a small smile make its way onto my face, “Not at all.” We fell back into silence until I shot up and swore.

“What’s wrong princess?” Logan asked, looking concerned.

“I have to tell my aunt and uncle that I got married.”

He groaned, “Brian is going to kill me.”

“Maybe it would make my parents leave me alone though.” I reasoned, “Maybe they would finally realize that I would never marry the cop’s son and now I literally can’t.”

“It’s worth a try,” Logan agreed.

“You did what!?” Bella yelled over the phone making me move it away from my ear.

“Bella, please calm down.” But as we all know, that never works when talking to someone who is angry with you.

“Why on earth should I calm down?”

“Because it might help get rid of my parents.” This made her pause.

“We could try telling them that, they might leave. Still, Brian is going to freak out when he hears this.”

“I know,” I mumbled. “I was thinking that maybe you could tell him. Please Bella. It will give him time to calm down before Logan and I come back.”

“Fine,” She agreed reluctantly.

“Thank you so much,” I gushed sounding totally unlike me.

“You are so lucky you have me.”

“I know.”

“I have to go, my bread is done.”

“Okay, I love you Aunt Bella.”

“I love you too Sweetie.” And then she was gone. I dropped my phone back into my pocket and left the room.

Hope you liked it :)
