Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, well, more like twenty years ago, Belle married her beast in front of six thousand of their closest, personal friends. Big cake. Yeah, so instead of a honeymoon, Beast united all of the kingdoms and got himself elected king of the United States of Auradon. He rounded up all the villains and sidekicks, basically all the really interesting people, and he booted them off to the Isle of the Lost with a magical barrier to keep them there. This is my hood. No magic. No wi-fi. No way out. Or so I thought. Hold on, you're about to meet us, but first, this happened:

Prince Ben, soon to be king and son of Belle and Beast, stood upon a podium as he was being measured by a tailor. He stared out the window towards the Isle of the Lost. One could easily tell he had something on his mind.

"Sleeve, head," the tailor said as he put Ben's arm up.

"How is it possible that you're going to be crowned king next month," Beast said as he walked in with Belle attached to his arm.

"He's turning sixteen dear," Belle reminded her husband.

"Sixteen?" Beast said happily. "That's way to young to be crowned king. I didn't make a good decision until I was at least forty-two."

Belle looked at Beast with annoyance. "Uh, you decided to marry me at twenty-eight."

"It was either you or the teapot," Beast said, winking at Ben. Ben laughed uncomfortably. Belle then gave the king a glare. "Kidding," he replied.

"Mom, dad," Ben began as he began to walk off the podium. However, the tailor stopped him as he was still working. "I've chosen my first official proclamation." Belle and Beast looked at their teenage son with pride. "I've decided that the children on the Isle of the Lost should be given a chance to live here in Auradon." Belle and Beast looked at Ben in shock; Belle even dropped something that was in her hands. "Everytime I look out to the island, I feel like they've been abandoned," Ben said, stepping off the podium. The tailor didn't even try to stop him this time.

"The children of our sworn enemies, living among us?" Beast asked in concern.

Ben responded nervously, "We start with a few at first, only the ones that need our help the most. I've already chosen them."

"Have you?" Beast said, getting a little intimidating.

Belle stopped her husband before he could intimidate their son anymore. "I gave you a second chance." Beast looked down at his wife, then backed off a little. "Who are their parents?"

Ben took a breath before listing off the villains. Belle and Beast listened intently while trying to keep their composure. "Jafar, Cruella De Vil, The Evil Queen, Queen of Hearts, and Maleficent."

Everyone stayed pretty much calm up until he said Maleficent; even the tailor was in shock. "Maleficent!?" Beast asked. "She is the worst in the land!"

"Dad," Ben said, trying to calm his father down, "just hear me out here."

"I won't hear of it!" Beast replied. Everyone who was in the room had pretty much evacuated. Nobody wanted to see the king go beast mode. "They are guilty of unspeakable crimes!"

"Dad, their children are innocent," Ben retorted. It was true; the descendants of the villains were being punished for crimes that were committed before they were even born "Don't you think they deserve a shot at a normal life? Dad?"

Beast thought about it for a second. "I suppose the children are innocent." Ben let out a breath as the weight was finally off his shoulders.

Belle walked up to her son ad adjusted his blazer. "Well done." She then walked to Beast and joined arms with him. "Shall we," she asked as the married couple walked out of their son's room.

Ben looked out the window towards the window. The fate of Auradon was about to change.
