The girls and I walked into Jay's and Carlos' room to see what they were up to. When we walked in, we were surprised to see Carlos had already started playing a video game: something we never had on the island."Whoa! Whoa! Oh, Whoa!" he yelled as he was fighting the bad guys on the game.
"You call those villains?" I asked.
"I know right," Carlos replied. "They're a piece of cake."
Mal walked over to one of the beds where Jay was pouring a bunch of stuff onto. "Jay, what are you doing?"
"It's called stealing."
"Okay, what's the point?"
"Well, Mal," Jay started, as if he was going to give Mal a life lesson. "It's like buying whatever I want, except it's free."
Mal scoffed."Okay, so you could do that, or you could leave all this here and pick it up when we take over the world."
"You sound just like your mom," I chuckled.
"Thank you," Mal said, actually sounding genuine.
"You do it your way, and I'll do it mine," Jay said.
"Die suckers!" Carlos said to his game."Jay, come check this out. Man it's awesome."
Jay then got up on the platform, and Carlos gave him the remote controllers. Instantly, Jay began to punch the 'bad guys' to death. "Guys!" Mal yelled, now sounding annoyed. "Do I have to remind you what we're all here for?"
Jay was the first to respond. "Fairy Godmother, blah, blah, blah. Magic wand, blah, blah, blah."
Evie and I laughed in response. I'm pretty sure all of us just wanted Mal to lighten up a bit. Mal was having none of it. "This is our one chance to prove ourselves to our parents!" All of our attention was directed at Mal now. It was true; we all just wanted our parents' stamp of approval. "To prove that we are evil and vicious and ruthless and cruel. Yeah?"
"Yeah," we all replied softly.
"Evie, mirror me."
Evie took out her mother's magic mirror, and we all sat around her at the table. "Mirror mirror on the...in my hand, where is Fairy Godmother's wand...stand?"
A swirling motion began to form on the mirror before it revealed the location of the wand. "There it is," I said as the wand was revealed. However, we couldn't see exactly where the wand was.
"Zoom out," Carlos suggested.
"Magic mirror, not so close,"Evie whispered to it. This time, it zoomed out so that we could see the actual Earth. We had to take baby steps to get to where we wanted. "Closer, closer, closer," Evie said, and each time the mirror brought us closer and closer.
"Can I go back to my game?" Carlos asked, getting bored. "I'm on level three."
"Stop!" Mal said, grabbing Evie's wrist. "It's in a museum. Do we know where that is?"
Carlos pulled out a laptop and typed in the location. "2.3 miles from here."
"Come on!" Mal said as well all got up. Before running out, Mal checked the halls to make sure nobody was there to see what we were doing. Once the coast was clear, we headed out of the dorm.
I noticed that the white-haired boy was not on our tails "Carlos!" I whispered loudly so that I didn't notify anyone.
"Coming!" he whispered back.
We approached the museum quietly. We were all amazed by the architecture. I mean, we just had old and rundown buildings on the Isle. "Evie, check your mirror," Mal said.
