The girls and I were just relaxing in our dorm room after a long day of school. Jane had even joined us. It was kind of interesting how much people began to trust us despite our upbringing. Jane still went on and on about wanting to be beautiful.

"Mom said If a boy can't see the beauty within, then he's not worth it. What kind of world is she living in?" Jane said plopping onto the bed.

"Auradon," Mal responded.

"Mal, Heather," Evie said, getting our attention."You like?" she asked, showing us a dress she was sewing on the sewing machine.

"Yeah," I said as I did my homework. "It's cute."

"It brings out your eyes," Mal added.

"I know," Evie replied. I wished I had the confidence Evie had.

"I'll never get a boyfriend," Jane complained.

"Boyfriends are overrated," Mal said.

"And how would you know, Mal?" I asked.

"Yeah," Evie added. "You've never had one."

"It's cause I don't need one, E," Mal replied. "They're a waste of time."

Suddenly, Evie gasped. "I forgot to do Chad's homework." I rolled my eyes. Despite how smart she is, of course Evie would get herself manipulated by a cute boy. "Oh no! Oh no, no, no," she said as she ran to Chad's backpack and back to the desk. She immediately started opening it and grabbing his books.

"And that's exactly what I mean."

At this time, there was a knock on the door. There was a girl with short, dark hair, and she wore a pink, floral top with a sea green skirt. "Hey guys," she said happily. "I'm Lonnie. My mom's Mulan." There was a silence in the room. The only sound that was made was Evie dropping Chad's backpack on the ground while taking a book out. "No? Anyways, I love what you've done with Jane's hair. And I know you hate us, and well, you're evil. But do you think you could do mine?"

"Why would I do that for you?" asked Mal.

"I'll pay you fifty dollars," Lonnie said, holding a coin bag.

"Good answer," I said, taking the coin bag.

"I need to buy more material," Evie said, taking the bag from my hands. "Let's see, I'm thinking, we lose the bangs, maybe some layers, and some highlights."

"No, no. I want it cool. Like Mal's," Lonnie said.

Mal gave a little smirk. "Really?" Evie asked. "The split ends too?"

Mal glared at Evie. Evie shook the bag as we were getting paid a lot (or at least a lot by Isle of the Lost standards) for this. "Okay," Mal said, taking out her spell book. "Beware, forswear, replace the old with cool hair," Mal read. She performed the same spell she did on Jane, and Lonnie's hair transformed into long, beautiful, brown hair.

Lonnie looked at herself in the mirror in the room. She looked rather shocked. "I know, I know. It looks like a mop on your head," Evie said, trying to act sympathetic. "You know what? Let's cut it off, layer it-"

"No, no, no, no, o!" Lonnie started. "I love it."

"You do?" asked Evie.

It's just..." Lonnie began. To everyone's surprise, she ripped the bottom of her skirt. "Now, I'm cool."

"Like ice," I added.

Jane walked over to the mirror and ripped the bottom of her dress. It took her less than a second to freak out. "What did I just do? Mom's gonna kill me."

Mal, Evie, and I laughed. These Auradon kids were just too innocent and pure. Not long after, Jane and Lonnie left, Carlos joined us. We all focused on getting our homework done. Well, all of us except for Mal. She was flipping through her spell book like crazy since Jane said that her mother would not break out the wand.

Jay entered the room, wearing a new tourney uniform. "Yo-ho-ho," he said as he entered.

"Hey," Carlos responded.

Jay walked over to the bed that Mal was on. "Did your plan work with Jane? Are you and Heather going to see the wand?"

"Do you think that I would be going through every single spell in this book if I hadn't completely struck out?" Mal said frantically.

"Oh, someone's in a bad mood."

"My mom's counting on me! I can't let her down!"

"We can do this!" Jay said. We all looked at him as this kind of outbreak wasn't normal from him. "If we stick together."

"And we won't go back until we do," Mal added. "Cause we're rotten..."

"To the core," Evie, Jay, Carlos, and I finished.

"Oh yeah, I found out that Fairy Godmother blesses Ben with the wand at coronation," Evie said.

"And we all get to go," I added.

"I have nothing to wear of course," Evie said. We all looked at her as that's the thing she was worried about. "What?"

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. I walked over to open it. I saw Ben. "Mal, it's for you."

"Hold that thought," Mal told the others as she went to the door.

"Hey, Mal," Ben began. "I didn't see you guys today. I was just wondering if you had any questions or anything...that...you needed."

Nice being totally subtle I thought to myself. Yeah, cause we didn't think of anything suspicious since you were stuttering.

"Not that I know of," Mal said, looking back at us. We all shook our heads.

"Well, uh," Ben began. "If you need anything, just-uh..."

"Oh wait!" Mal said. "Is it true that we all get to go to your coronation?"

"Yeah, the whole school goes."

"Wow. That is beyond exciting," Mal said, trying to sound excited. "Do you think that it's a possibility that the five of us could stand in the front row next to the Fairy Godmother, just so we could soak up all the goodness?"

"Subtle," I whispered.

"I wish you could," Ben admitted. "Up front, it's just me, my folks, and my girlfriend."

"Your girlfriend?" Mal asked.

"Yeah. I'm sorry."

"Okay, thanks bye," Mal said, rushing Ben out the door. I knew right away that she had a plan. "I think it's time that Bennyboo got himself a new girlfriend. And I need a love spell." Carlos threw Mal her spell book. "Here it is," she said. "All we need to do is make cookies."

"Well, then we have to wait until later," I told her. "If someone sees us in the kitchen, they'll think we're being suspicious."

Mal nodded and we hung out in the dorm room until it was safe to go out.
