The five of us followed Maleficent back to her and Mal's home. It was one of the better looking buildings on the Isle. I still wondered why we were chosen to go to Auradon. Why all of a sudden they decided to bring VKs over there? Did they not realize that there are children of all ages suffering on this island because of crimes our parents did before we were even born?

I turned to face Carlos. He's only a little taller than me, so I don't have to go on my tippy-toes yet to tap his shoulder. "Hey Carlos," I whispered, tapping his shoulder. "What do you think Maleficent has planned for us?"

"I don't know," he whispered back. "But whatever it is, it's going to be bad, and by bad, I mean evil. What else would it be?"

"I don't know," I replied. "Do think it's going to be bad like 'Mal locking Evie in your mother's fur coat closet' bad or...?"

"It has to be way worse," Carlos admitted. I nodded in agreement. Mal has done some pretty evil things in the past, but she's never done anything at the same level as her mother.

We all followed Maleficent upstairs. We were all surprised to see our parents there waiting for us. "Mom?" Evie, Carlos, and I said.

"Dad?" Jay said.

"Hey kids," Jafar replied. I have to admit, even though I frown upon pretty much every villain on this island, Jafar can be pretty fun sometimes. I gave him a small wave with a nervous smile.

Maleficent headed over to her "throne" and we followed to face her. She sat down and basically began filing her nails. "You will go. You will find the Fairy Godmother, and you will bring me back the magic wand. Easy peasy."

How does she think it will be easy peasy? I asked myself. I bet Auradon is crawling with royal guards and security.

"What's in it for us?" Mal asked.

"Matching thrones," Maleficent replied. "Hers-and-hers crowns."

"Um," I began, "I-I think she meant us," I said, pointing to all five of us. Mal nodded in agreement.

Maleficent then snapped her fingers, motioning to Mal to step forward. "It's all you and me baby. Do you enjoy watching innocent people suffer?"

"Well, yeah, I mean, who doesn't?"

"Well, then get me the wand," Maleficent retorted. All five of us flinched back at the Misstress' outbreak. "And you and I can see all that and so much more. And with that wand and my scepter, I will be able bond both good and evil to my will!"

"Our will," my mother, the Queen of Hearts, reminded her.

"Our will, our will." Maleficent then snapped at Mal to make her turn her head. "And if you refuse, you're grounded for the rest of your life, missy."

"Wha-mom-" Mal tried to argue but failed. Suddenly, Maleficent bent down and stared at Mal with electric green eyes. I looked at Mal who also stared at her mother with electric green eyes. I've seen them do this before; it typically only happens when they have a disagreement. Mal tried to pull through, but she just had to blink. "Fine, whatever." I had a good feeling Mal would lose. Maybe one day she may actually win one of those fights.

"Evie," I heard the Evil Queen call to her daughter. Evie then ran over to the table where her and my mother were sitting. "My little evil-lette in training. You just find yourself a prince with a big castle and a mother-in-law wing."

"And lots and lots of mirrors," Evie said, joining in. She began to laugh but was immediately stopped.

"No laughing," Evil Queen interjected. Evie's smile then turns into a frown. "Wrinkles," Evil Queen said, reminding her daughter of the rules of beauty. I roll my eyes once more. I realize I've been doing that a lot, but who cares?
