Today was coronation day. Mal had already headed over as she had to be there early. Evie wore a beautiful, blue dress with a small tiara in her hair. She had me put on my dress for coronation. She didn't let me see it until I put it on. My eyes were closed, and I felt her drag me to the mirror. "Now, open," she said.
I opened my eyes and saw me wearing a beautiful dress. The top half was red and sparkly. The bottom half was white and had red hearts on it. "Evie," I began. "I-I love it!"
"I knew you would," she said.
"Thanks E," I said, giving her a hug. She embraced me as well. We both didn't let go. My smile turned into a frown as something came into my mind. "Evie?"
"Hm?"
"What do you think will happen to us after today?" I asked.
Evie loosened her hug so we could look at each other face to face, but we still stayed in each other's embrace. "I-I don't know," she replied. "I honestly don't know."
"I don't even know if Mal is going to get the wand."
"If she does, then the villains will take over Auradon," Evie said. "If she doesn't, then everything stays the same as it is now."
"You mean with the people of Auradon hating us?" I said.
"Hey," she began. "One thing I know is that no matter what happens, we'll have each other. I promise you will never be alone."
I nodded in response as Evie tightened her embrace on me. "I love you," I mumbled.
"I love you too," she replied. "Come on, we better get going."
Later on, we joined the boys and headed over to the Auradon Cathedral where the coronation was being held. Of course, Carlos just had to bring Dude with him. We all took our places on the balcony where Mal said we would be. All of us were silent. We were all scared for what was going to happen. We all looked at each other. I had my hands spread out on the edge as I was super nervous. Evie and Carlos both put their hands on mine. Jay, who was on the other side of her, did the same to Evie. This made me feel a little better. They were my best friends; whatever happened, I would have them.
The music started playing, and Ben began walking down the aisle. As he passed us, we bowed, just as everyone else did. Once he reached the dais, Fairy Godmother took Beast's crown and placed it on Ben's head. Belle then handed the wand to her. All of us began to tense up. We watched Mal in the front; she wasn't moving. We began to question if she was going to take it.
Fairy Godmother stood upon Ben. "Do you solemnly swear to govern the people of Auradon with justice and mercy as long as you shall reign?"
"I do solemnly swear," Ben replied.
"Then it is my honor to bless our new king." Suddenly, a hand came up and took the wand. To everyone's surprise, it was Jane. "Child, what are you doing?!"
"If you won't make me beautiful, I'll do it myself!" Jane yelled as she tried to control the wand. "Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!"
"Take cover!" Beast ordered.
Mal came up behind Jane to grab the wand. "Careful, Mal!" Belle yelled.
Suddenly, Mal got the wand, and everyone freaked out. Ben came between her and the others. The four of us began running down to her. "Mal, give me the wand," Ben said calmly.
"Stand back!"
"It's okay..."
"I said stand back!"
"I told you so!" Audrey yelled, but Mal pointed the wand towards her. The four of us finally ran behind Mal.
"Let's go," Carlos said.
