Right now it was 11:00 pm. Everyone's asleep and I'm waiting for 'the get away driver' to come. Hayden and I are sneaking in with Conner, Johnny, Kenzie, Jayden and Lauren. Everyone else didn't want to come.
Ding
Hayden💜- were here. jump out of your window
Annie- HAYDEN SUMMERALL! My window is 2 stories up!
Hayden💜- I'll catch you 😉
Annie- Hayden, I doubt you'll catch me.
Hayden💜- Do you trust me?
Annie- Hayden...
Hayden💜- Annie do you trust me?
Annie- Yes
Hayden💜- Then jump out the window
I leave him on read and grab my backpack. I walk to my window and carefully open it not making a sound. I look down and bite my lip. I trust him. I take a deep breathe and close my eyes. I jump.
As I was falling I was trying my hardest not to scream. When I was near the ground, I thought I was goner. But I wasn't, I felt arms carrying me in bridal style. I open my eyes to see Hayden smiling.
"Told you so." He mocked. I laughed and he put me down. We walked to Conners car. The order went, Conner driving and Jayden in the passenger seat. Lauren, Johnny and Kenzie sitting in the middle and Hayden and I in the very back.
"Ready for this haste?" Johnny joked. I laughed and shook my head. I was honestly scared. "Worried?" Hayden asked. I nodded my head. He smiled and put and arm around my shoulders. "Don't worry." He said. I rested my head against his shoulders. I'm having second thoughts.
We arrive at the abandoned hotel. "Well, here we are." Lauren said under her breathe. We all got out of the car and walked to the barb wire fence. Johnny helped me and Lauren get over and Conner helped Jayden and Kenzie. Hayden looked a little upset, but I just ignored it.
"Okay, how about we split up?" Kenzie suggested. We all had our flashlights. Okay how about Jayden and Conner, Kenzie and Lauren, and then Annie, Hayden and I?" Johnny suggested. We all agreed besides Hayden. "Hayden?" I asked. He nodded.
We all walked into our groups. Johnny, Hayden and I walked to the second floor. As we were walking around, flashing our flashlights, we heard a noise. I immediately grabbed Hayden's hand. "It's okay." He whispered. I smiled weakly.
We continued walking until we heard that noise again. But this time, it was louder. Johnny pulled Hayden and I into a room. The noise got even louder. I was about to scream, but Johnny put his hand over my mouth.
I really had second thoughts about this.
As the noise left, we heard people. But not familiar voices. As the voices got closer I started to panic a little.
The door opened.
"What are you kids doing here?" A man asked. It was obviously a police officer. Oh boy. "Oh, Uh, we got lost a-and we heard noises do we hid h-here." Johnny stuttered to get out. "What were you guys doing here in the first place?" The cop asked us. We all looked at each other. "Typical teens. Come on, I'm taking you kids to the station." As he shook his head.
We followed him. I looked down really scared. We arrived at his car. I quickly texted Jayden and told her to get out of there. The car ride to the station was so silent, you could hear a pin drop. I looked down the whole time. I am so busted.
We arrived at the station. "Okay kids. Wait here." The cop said. He led us to a room with three chairs. He closed the door behind him. "I'm sorry Annie. This is all my fault." Hayden said looking down. "It's not your fault. I'm the one who agreed." I said sighing.
"It is Annie. And I'm so sorry. You too John." Hayden said. We just sat in silence until the police officer came back in.
"Okay kids. I'm going to ask you some questions. Answer honestly, and you won't be in trouble." He said. We nodded. "First, can I have your first and last names?" He asked opening his notepad.
"I'm Johnny Orlando." Johnny said. "I'm Hayden Summerall." Hayden said. "I'm Annie LeBlanc." I said in a faint voice. He wrote something down and continued asking us questions.
They were questions like why were you there or what did you do. We answered honestly. "Okay. I'm calling your parents to come pick you up. Next time if you get caught trespassing, there will be bigger con-quinces." The officer said.
We waited in the room in silence.
10 minutes passed and my mom was here. "Annie!" She said coming up to me and hugging me. "Are you okay?!" She said looking at me. I nodded in shame. She hugged me again. We walked back to her car. "I'm sorry." I said on the verge of tears.
"We'll talk about your punishment tomorrow. I'm very disappointed." She said. And she had every right to be. I feel like such a bad daughter.
We got to the house and I ran upstairs. I changed and quickly texted Hayden.
Annie- are you okay?
Hayden💜- I should be asking you. I'm so sorry Annie.
I left him on read and tried to get some sleep, but I couldn't.
