It's been 2 days, and it's finally time for my first day back at school. I'm ready for all the questions everyone's going to ask me. Like, why weren't you at school or were you sick?

I quickly got ready and sped down the stairs. Since my parents were probably already at work, Caleb was dropping me off. I walk into the kitchen to see Caleb eating oatmeal. "Morning Annie!" Caleb greeted me. "Morning." I replied. I sat down next to him where another bowl of oatmeal was. I began eating it.

"Let's go!" Caleb said putting his bowl in the kitchen sink. I do the same and put on my shoes. Caleb and I walk over to his car and hop in. "Excited?" Caleb asks me pulling out of the drive way. "Nervous." I respond playing with loose thread on my cardigan. "Don't worry, you'll do fine." He said stretching out his word. I sigh and look out the window.

We arrive at school and I get out of the car. Caleb and I walk to the school gates, but then he leaves me. Huh. No change I see. As I walk through the halls, I get looks from some people. I slightly bit my lower lip and walked to the office.

"Ms.Katy?" I say. I, surprised I remember her name. "Julianna? Julianna! How have you been? It's been so long!" She said. "I've been great. How about you?" "I've been doing great as well." She said. "Um, is my schedule still the same?" I ask. She warmly nods. I smile and thank her. I walk out, back to my old locker.

"Annie!" I hear someone say. I look to my side and see Lexi. "Lexi!" We both hug for the longest time. "I missed you so much!" Lexi said releasing from the hug. "Me too! But I'm back!" I said smiling. "Do you know where Hayden is?" I ask peeping over her shoulder.

"Oh, um, Annie..." she said nervously. "Yes Lexi?" I eye her confused. "H-Hayden... changed." She said with a nerve in her voice. Before I could ask anymore questions, the bell rang. Great. Thanks bell! I say bye to Lexi and head on over to homeroom.

I'm standing before the door to homeroom. I take a deep breathe before entering. I walk in and the class goes silent. Just as I expected. "Julianna?" The teacher said. I smiled awkwardly. "Where have you been?" She asked. "Oh, I was homeschooled for a little while." I said quietly so only she could here. She nodded and I took my seat next to Conner.

"Annie!" He hugged me. I hugged back. "I haven't seen you in awhile!" He said smiling. I smiled back. Conner and I talked a bit. Until someone walked in the room.

Let me tell you,

It was Hayden. But not Hayden.

It was Hayden, but with a different style. He had a bad boy edge look to him. He was wearing jeans, a black shirt with a leather jacket. He had a beanie on too. "Um Conner?" I whispered. "Yes Annie?" He said as if he knew what question I was going to ask.

"Is that, Hayden?!" I said pointing to I was hoping who wasn't Hayden. "Long story." He said slouching in his chair. Like old times, Hayden didn't come over to us and sit. Matter of fact, I don't think he noticed me. He walked over to some bad boys that I knew of. What's gotten into him?

"Conner, I've got all day." I said resting my arm on the table. He sighs. "Okay. You asked for it. After the day you left, he told Carson, Johnny and I that he liked you. He said that he kissed you too. He also told us how that your parents wouldn't allow you to talk to him. So after you left the school, Hayden started to avoid us. We thought he just needed some time, so we let him be. But after a couple weeks, we see Hayden hanging around the bad kids at school. Whenever we try to talk to him, he ignores us completely. Since he's been hanging with them, he's changed. Like a lot. He's been suspended 2 times and gets in a lot of trouble. And," Conner stoped himself.

"And what?" I ask. "And, he's dating Liv "

My heart stopped.

After all that, he told me that he loved me, and then he goes and dates liv. Not only I don't like her, he KNOWS the pain that I went through with Liv. So he DATES HER?!

I look at Conner with an open mouth.
