“Are you mad at me?” nag-aalalang tanong sa kanya ni Ric pagkatapos ng earth-shocking revelation ng ama nito.
Umiling siya.
Ngumiti ito. “Are you mad at my family?”
Tumango siya.
Nanlaki ang mga mata nito.
Tumawa siya.
Hinampas niya ang balikat nito. "Are you not listening to me? Didn't I just clearly forgive your father earlier?"
"But that was because he was kneeling at you."
Tiningnan niya ito. Ngumiti siya dito. "Sapat na iyon, Ric. Isa pa, naiintindihan ko ang ginawa niya. It was all for his family. For his beloved family. My parent's would have done the same thing hindi nga lang kasing smart ng ginawa ng don." Napailing siya. "I mean, can you believe it? The don set us up to fall in love to each other! Unbelievable! I mean, paano nito naisip na magugustuhan kita when in fact you were this arrogant and self-centered beast when I first met you?!" Wala sa sariling naibulalas niya.
"Wow!" he exclaimed sarcastically. "And how in the world did my dad assumed that I will fall in love with a woman like you? A bitch who just talks so loud and always looks for a fight!"
Napatingin siya dito. Mukhang napikon ito sa sinabi niya. Hindi niya maiwasang matawa. He looked so cute whenever his having his tantrums.
"I know right! We hated each other so much pero how did the don deduced that we'll gonna fall in love?"
Natahimik lang ito.
"I mean the don's a genius! Kaya naman pala sobrang successful niyo sa business. Your father's a great manipulator."
"Yeah fine my dad is great!" He exclaimed. Mukhang napipikon na ito sa fascination na pinakikita niya patungkol sa ama.
He looked at her. Now, his face is serious. He cupped her face. He smiled. "I'm glad. I'm glad that you don't hate my family."
She smiled back. "How can I hate your family when sila ang naging dahilan kaya nakilala kita.”
Iniyakap niya ang kanyang kamay sa leeg nito.
Hinalikan siya nito.

“I love you.” Wika nito.
“I love you, too.” Wika niya.
