Chapter 10: Knowing the Jangs

Jae Mi wore skin tight jeans for her comfortability and a white casual-formal top for a good impression. It's a turtle neck that bear small ruffles at the edge, running around the three buttons on her chest.

Of course, who'll wear something fancy in wandering around field to apply for work.

She also lend Kyungsoo some of her over-sized clothes. Good thing it didn't look awkward. He's like a model that can carry any kind of clothing. Make him wear rags and still, he'll look extravagant.

Back to it, they moved on and went outside for their own purposes.

"So you always visit that orphanage?" Kyungsoo whips his head to Jae and asks with a blank face.

"Not really. Just once or twice a week only, since I have my life too." She chortled lightly whilst he nodded and turned his head back to their way. "Well that's not the normal clothes to wear for a place like that. If I know, kids are enthusiastic enough to stain anything. It's pretty inappropriate." Kyungsoo blunted whilst pointing at Jae Mi from head to toes, making her panic internally.

"C-can't I just wear what I want to look good?!" She whined childishly.

"You don't have to dress like that cause you're pretty enough though." Kyungsoo unconsciously speaks his thoughts whilst Jae looks at him dumbfounded. He's not suppose to reply to that but his mouth was such an idiot to do so. He soon realizes what he did with Jae's sudden silence. She hid her blushing face.

"You can laugh now." He managed to say sarcastically and it worked. Jae Mi amazingly complies and throws a nudge to him, making him chuckle awkwardly.

Of course it's a joke Jae. What the heck are you just thinking. She exclaimed to the butterflies in her stomach, hoping it would calm down.

Silence wrapped them afterwards.

After a few turns they already arrived. Jae's a few steps ahead when she stopped and faced Kyungsoo. He tilts his head to his left to see a good orphanage where faint children's laughter can be heard.

"Such heart-warming laughter." He complimented whilst flashing a smile and turning back to Jae.

"I know. Uhm... If you want, feel free to visit with me sometime." She offered with a smile as well. She was curious as to how Kyungsoo deals with kids with his comment from earlier about their enthusiasm. It sounded like he hated them. And she wanted to tease.

Kyungsoo stood there, astounded again whilst absorbing her words. This was not the (ex) co-worker he knew. Jae's never showed her softness like this though he knows she's a good person. Her image tremendously changed for him with just one night. Yes he liked her even before she got fired but it got deeper as he got to know her personally. Taking a peek in her life would really draw you closer to her. And Kyungsoo was the first lucky premised invader.

"EARTH TO KYUNGSOO?" And there goes the Jae Mi-- the one he knows well.

"Yeah. Sure. I'd like to." He smiles one more time making her reciprocate. "I'll be going then."

"Okay. Be careful on your way. Don't forget to drink the medicine I gave you after you take your lunch kay?" She reminds whilst walking backwards to head for the gate.

"Yes ma'am!" He salutes and puts on his killer smile once again.

Oh he never gets tired of showing it to Jae. That smile is to die for. So basically, he's intentionally killing her with it, but too much to his expectation, she doesn't feel that deep. It only felt like an infatuation for her. More like a crush. He started to walk out and massage his chest in circles.
