"Yeoboseyo?" A man on the other line said.

"Chen. Where are you?"

"In somewhere I should be." He trolled making the two guys beside him-- Lay and Suho-- laugh.

"Stop Chenning me. I'm not in the mood."

"Is there something wrong hyung?" Chen asked with evident worry.

"JUST WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU. UGH. Would telling me hurt?! I just want to hang out for a while..."

"Okay. Talk to Lay... Hello hyung? We're here at our house. If you want, then come here. We're doing nothing anyway."

"Okay. I will." Xiumin sighs.

He despised not his father, but what he did. He felt untrusted even with those countless efforts he did to help the company. He thought their succes was from their own sweat but 2/3 of it was from illegal drug dealing. He didn't know how long has his dad been doing it but it didn't matter. Long or short, it was still illegal.

He headed for his car and sat there, taking deep breaths to relieve frustration. He bangs his steering wheel before driving then headed to them. Whining up is a need for him.

----

"Sir. Your trainee is here." Daesuk stopped from scribbling on his laptop and nodded as a sign to let him in.

"Good Morning Sir." Kyungsoo bowed with full respect.

"Take a seat Mr. Do." He complies and plods to the couch accross  Daesuk without a word. "So this is your second week already. I wanna hear your feedback as to how I and the others train you. And I wanna hear your answer if do you fully accept being the next heir. Cause starting from now, I'll make you do the actual business here to test your skills in managing employees and sales."

"Ah. Ne sir. The training is absolutely fine. Everything is detailed and done step by step making it easy to analyze. I believe I am willing enough to do this for independence and for own living sir. I want to test myself as well. So let's do this... I'm taking it sir." With that, Daesuk smiles and stands up to look at the scenery outside.

"May I remind you that there'll be difficulties but feel free to come to me and inquire. My door will always be open for you." He adds glancing back at Kyungsoo.

"Yes sir. But, may I know why you're handing the company to me that easily? I mean this is your hardwork. And you're not that old. This is not like in dramas where you pass the title easily cause there's danger and consequences right? It's not like you're leaving... or you're sick. I bet you're not. So why sir?" He asked specifically to get exact reasons.

"Hold your horses Kyungsoo." Daesuk chuckles lightly, astonished with the young man's curiousity. "If I tell you I have better business to do than this, would that be enough?" He roamed around his office whilst explaining. "Cause in fact, I do have. I made it up to here because of that thing. That pushed me to work hard. But not to reach success. This is still not success for me. To reach my success, I need to erase my regrets. And to erase those, I might have to drop everything. It would be a waste to abandon this company since I've worked hard for it anyway. So why not let other people benefit from it right?" Kyungsoo was immersed from Daesuk's deep intentions but he knew inside of him, this man was someone with a horrible past. And he didn't want to invade more though he was not that satisfied. His shoulders tensed a little bit and Daesuk takes notice.

"Don't worry son. I'll bring you no harm. I'll protect you as long as I'm here." He pats his shoulders from behind, making him suddenly feel secured.

I think he's somehow trustworthy. Kyungsoo pinned his impression.

"How's your dad's business anyway?" Daesuk initiated another topic to change the growing-awkward atmosphere.

"It's doing fine. Since I told them I was gonna accept your offer, they'll train my sister instead. I think it's for girls anyway." Kyungsoo chortled.

"You mean manufacturing and selling kitchenwares are for girls? You're somehow a picky young man." The two laughed and found their comfortability with each other's company.

"Let's take the formality off if it's only us okay? Now, what would you like to eat Kyungsoo? How about let's take pizza?"

"Yeah sure."

After eating, Kyungsoo fished out one tablet from his pocket making Daesuk furrow his brows. "Are you sick?"

"Ah. Anigeudeun. It's cured already but my nurse said I should take one more for the last time after eating to prevent it from coming back." Kyungsoo smiled as he freely called Jae Mi his nurse.

"Oh. So my trainee here got his yeoja chingu eh?" Daesuk smirked making Kyungsoo's smile dissolved as he wanted that thought to be. "Ani. She's my... uh... best friend." But Daesuk saw through him. "I see. You like her. Aigoo. Don't deny or I'll shove your cowardness out your ass."

"Is it wrong that I wanna rip that smirk off of my boss' face? Geez. What an immature old man." Kyungsoo looked away.

"Why do kids these days don't take jokes from aged people and just laugh at it? Tsk. What an inconsiderate generation." Daesuk whined, thinking about Kai.

----

"I'll be going now Hyori and Shae-eonnie. I'll visit again sometime." Jae smiled as she hugged both and they nodded.

"Goodbye kids and my Penpen! See you again next time!" She waved to the kids.

"Good luck finding a job Jae Mi-ah!" Mido bids and she nodded.

She didn't eat lunch with the kids cause she was worried they might have food shortage since everything was budgeted. She walked her way to the bus stop and soon rides one to get to her former cafe.

Of course she arrived earlier than Kai to show that she really needs the work.

It was 1:13 pm and even his shadow haven't showed up yet. She was hungry already.

Is he tricking me? Jae shook her head.

She texted him and thankfully he replied a simple 'okay.' In no time, he entered the cafe and sat accross her.

"You said 1 pm sharp. Talkshitting me eh?" Jae tsk-ed. "I'm gonna order. Tell me what you want and don't start another scene in here again." Kai blunted making Jae sigh.

"It's clear that you're full." Kai said and walked off to order but hand stops him. "Just get me the same order as yours." And with that, he pulls his wrist out of her grasp.

Minutes later, food is served. The Cheesecake tasted good together with the Mocha Macchiato, but she thought if Kyungsoo made it, it would be heavenly but she finished it anyway out of hunger.

Meanwhile whilst Kyungsoo's being taught by Daesuk, he sneezes uncontrollably. "Oh maybe your yeoja chingu was having you as a topic with someone eh?" Daesuk teased. "Whatever. Continue." Kyungsoo said and looked back at the laptop seriously making Daesuk laugh at him.

"Pig." Kai muttered under his breath after witnessing how Jae ate. "What the hell? You're the one who made me wait and hungry so it was just normal to eat FAST. You're exagerrating." Jae rolled her eyes.

"Whatever. Let's go." He stood up and headed to his parked car leaving Jae.

What a gentleman. Tsk. Should I really trust him? She shook her head in dismay.

Kai pulled his car door up. He upgraded his car to have butterfly doors since he thought it's cool. After all, he had nothing to do to entertain his self.

Jae Mi followed pulling it but it wouldn't open. "Yah! Don't lock me out in here!" She exclaimed.

Kai mouthed "But it's not locked!"

After a few attempts, Jae threw her hands in frustration making Kai go and open the door for her. "Ignorant." He commented with a blank facial whilst heading back to his seat.

Jae sat on the shotgun then closed the idiot-eating door. Kai roars the engine and starts driving smoothly to head to one place he knows, to get Jae hired easily.

To Daesuk's Office.
