Chapter 33: Third Assassination

Kai, being the urgent man he was trained for, arrived earlier than all of them and now was waiting for Bae Jun who'll most probably arrive first.

Soon enough, a car arrives and parks unproperly revealing two hurried persons which he figured was Bae Jun and the other still unknown. They got in the boat whilst he follwed suit, hiding his existence. He have not much time either so he first targeted Bae Jun who was in a room with Sung Joo before the pilot. They had to be away from Luhan somehow to buy time. Sung Joo was sent to get him out and at the same time protect him from Kai. She knew he would take a good chance like this.

"If ever the situation gets out of hand though, let go of Bae Jun. We don't need him that much anyway." She repeats Geun Ri's words in her head. What she did was useless you thought? It isn't, partially. Because getting him out of the police's hands was needed. But his life wasn't. For Geun Ri, he can be used. But not necessarily.

The door barged open revealing Kai in his gun stunt also making Sung Joo put up with her own. Her gun was with Jun "Hey honey I missed you." She smiled as Bae Jun stood. He was about to shoot the main target but... "Let's have fun first. I risked myself to see you again." Then she kicks Kai's gun out of his hand. "Shit." He cusses before Sung Joo attacks him. Bae Jun runs for his life as the boat moved.

Sung Joo always had her trump card. She especialized the nerve-hitting close combat technique before, but she didn't show it to Kai at their first meeting. She's saving the best to the last.

Kai, though feeling heavy, didn't let the bad feeling get the better of him. He fought skillfully dodging and applying appropriate moves. Sung Joo punched but Kai held her fist. She throws another one whilst Kai bent. With him benting, she steps on his knees and gives him an upper kick.

Kai stumbled back but instantly maintained his composure. Sung Joo high-kicks as Kai caught it again. She jumps using her remaining leg to land it right at his shoulder to squeez Kai's neck and succeeds. Kai was brought down. But he had brawns too. And he's a man. He can easily escape and throw her away.

In the process, she sits up to Kai's chest and holds his left shoulder, pressuring a certain part til he can't move his left arm. Indeed she was skilled too.

Just then, a metal bottle clanged on the floor followed by a shutting door. Gas started dissolving the air inside the room. "Fuck Bae Jun you coward." She muttered before being pushed out by Kai's prominent right arm. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" Kai growled, frustrated at why his left arm was unresponsive to him. It was paralyzed. The gas continued eating uo the room as Kai was already feeling weird.

Sung Joo unintentionally took an inhale of the gas and it nearly brought her to heaven as she flee towards the door. It was open.

Brainless old hag. She thought before completely leaving the boat. Kai tried to find his gun whilst gasping for air. He needed it for assassination.

Finally, he finds it under the deck but his lungs already lacked air as his throat dried up and his eyes barely opened. With all his strength left, he left the room to go find Bae Jun and decides to check on the pilot.

Good thing, Bae Jun was there with him. He shoots the pilot down and points it next to Bae Jun. Jun countered it with Sung Joo's gun he had.

"Shoot and we both die." He threatened, not scaring Kai one bit. Bae Jun pulls the trigger...

But no bullet touched Kai.

And he remembered Sung Joo shooting the guard, putting only a bullet.

Kai didn't let the chance slip and shot directly at his chest, leaving his heart no mercy. Bae Jun's body dropped with the gun, with eyes open staring at him.
