A head peeked onto someone's door."Are you sure about this dad?" Jae Mi nervously asked Daesuk who was fixing his tie to get ready for work. He looks at her through the mirror.

"Yes and it's final. Are you wearing it already?" He asks referring to the dress he hand picked for her. She entered his room, groomed by light make-up, wearing the dirty white dress that covered her arms and fell gracefully on her knees whilst her back figure was exposed by the round buttoned-top frame with a ribbon landing on the bottom of it and smiled. "Beautiful." was what Daesuk mumbled before holding her hand and leading them outside.

Upon arriving at the building, employees were already gathered in the meeting hall. Jae Mi clutched her father's cuff like a child scared of the crowd.

"Appa.. Isn't this too much?" She whispered whilst walking to the platform. "Of course not. You deserve better." She put up a small frown before meeting a pair of eyes that burned her.

"Kyungsoo..." She trailed, wanting to wipe the anxiousness and doubt, painted on his face. It didn't take her long before averting her gaze. She was drowning by her own thoughts again. She saw her officemates lingering around and waved at them whilst they were confused as to why their boss was holding her dearly.

A queen's chair was prepared for her right beside the podium as her father settled himself in front of the mic.

"I know everyone of you are curious as to why I suddenly called a celebration at this meeting hall, with this girl..." He looks at Jae. "with me."

"I don't want to spell out long foreword. Everyone, thank you for acknowledging this invitation. I would like to formally introduce to you, my daughter, Han Jae Mi." Han? I sure have lots of surname. But I'm glad I finally found it. She internally sighed in relief. Applause starts to dominate the room along with some murmurs. He walks to his daughter and sticks out his hand for her to hold. She complied and stood up as her father exposed her proudly. She beamed brightly meeting Kai's gaze from afar, almost faltering when he left. Meanwhile, Kyungsoo followed her gaze and saw how she stared at Kai for a second and followed him immediately when he plodded out the hall.

"Kai." Kyungsoo called & caught up to him. Kai turns around to meet gazes with the smaller guy. Right then he knew the guy would ask for payback.

"Let's bring this outside."

----

The two stood quietly, unfazed by each other's glare, on the uncrowded nearby place they were in. "Aren't you done wasting my time?" Kai initiated. Kyungsoo huffed.

"Aren't you done with my girl?" He threw back.

"What are you talking about?"

"This." With that, Kyungsoo steps forward landing a hard punch on Kai's face. The taller stumbles but manages to stand again, not even defending himself.

Putting his assassinations aside, Kai knew he deserved it. He liked Jae Mi. In fact, he's onto her while she was in a relationship with Kyungsoo. He knew it was wrong. He kept dragging his girl for comfort. But to think that he was not sorry was selfish of him, which he only did once. He just did himself a favor; A chance. A chance to somehow relieve himself from the unwanted life he has. And Kyungsoo's blow did help him realize all that.

Kai smiled which angered Kyungsoo more. "It was her who decided to do that." An excuse was what all he could say.

I had to do it. Even for once.

Another punch lands on his face. "She wouldn't if you didn't fucking stick with her!" If Kai would ever fight back, he knew he had the ace, but this time, he decides to be understanding to the smaller guy, receiving all his anger for the sake of his relief. Why? Because he himself always knew the feeling of bottling all of those shattered emotions inside him. It certainly doesn't feel good. He knows it too well, he doesn't want anyone to feel it.
