"This isn't right. Luhan's team was there right? And they were tightly securing the event. That culprit was good at it." Mr. Kim asked his driving son.

"Yes. He said the culprit was really skilled. It left no traces the last time." Xiumin agreed. "But you know what dad? Luhan would be happy to hear that. All this time, you have trusted his abilities and yet, you've never showed it to him."

"I will son, don't worry. I just want to do it with cleaner reputation."

"But he knows already dad. What cleaner reputation are you talking about?"

"It's not the right time yet."

"Okay if you say so. But if ever chance is showing itself to you, grab it for god's sake." Xiumin didn't want to argue more. But he made sure to stop where his father would realize that he always let the chance slip away.

"By the way was Geun Ri there?" Xiumin adds.

"No he wasn't. Besides, it's such a small event for him to attend to."

"Hm. Don't you think Geun Ri has something to do with the murders?"

"Let me see..." His dad massages his chin. "I know not much about him since I just had a deal and nothing more... But I heard that that illegal business started with a really small gang with him as the head. Maybe the victims are... his friends!?" Mr. Kim's eyes widened as he whips his head to his son to confirm. Xiumin still drove concentrated at his track whilst pondering.

I see... if those victims were his friends way back... it means they hold a lot of info and they have everything if ever they turn against Geun Ri.

No need for voicing his thoughts out. Red light flashes the stoplight.

"Dad. Go out of the country. Stay there for the meantime til everything's settled." Xiumin bossed his father.

"What? No! I'm still your father Xiumin. I won't let my sons shoo a dangerous threat for me! I'd rather turn myself in!" His dad argued.

"Then do it!" Xiumin fought back hitting the bull's eye.

"Son..." His father trailed in a hushed tone as he sagged his shoulders from the disrespectful burst. With that, his weakness became visible; his pride shrinked. It was wrong to tolerate it but he has nothing against it as he himself destroyed his image. He somehow deserved it from Xiumin's side.

Xiumin sighs.

Green light flashes the stoplight and he starts driving only to make another stop near the sidewalk. He pressed the hazard button and heaves another sigh.

"I know you won't father... We've... grown up." Xiumin shrugs his shoulders and plasters a small smile. "Believe it or not, it's beacause of you. You made us like this. So please. If you give us a chance, we'll put everything back to where it should be. He's already making a move to his friends. Anytime now, you might be his next target. I won't let that happen, especially Luhan." He explained more.

"I'll think about it." His dad nods half-heartedly.

"We need to talk to Luhan. That would be your chance dad. I'll do the rest of explaining left then I'll buy the earliest ticket to whatever country you want." Xiumin bossed. He wanted his short-time authority to be worthwhile so he's using it all up for his dad's sake.

He sure is persistent... His dad spoke internally, somehow giving in already.

"So uh... good night Jae." A Kyungsoo at Jae's doorstep uttered shyly whilst rubbing his nape looking down. Jae smiled at the sight.
