It's been a month since the incident with Archie. Me and Betty have started hanging out more, which I love, We got the Blue and Gold started up again and everything has started feeling better now that I was friends with Betty again
I feel my phone start to buzz in my pocket, I already know who it is before I check the caller ID "Hey, Betts" I say.
"Hi, Juggie! Can you come over?" Betty says.
"Sure, you ok?"
"I'm fine, I'll see you soon!" She hangs up.
That was weird... I grab my coat and head out of my trailer towards Betty's house.
I get there about 10 minutes later and see her mom's car outside.
I grab the latter she leaves out for me and climb up to her bedroom window.
I see her pacing and muttering something to herself. She looks so determined.
I knock on the window and she jumps.
"Juggie, you scared me!" She says, laughing nervously as she opens the window.
"You seem really jumpy today" I laugh.
"Yea, ok. Come in"
I climb into her bedroom.
She grabs my hand and sits me down on her bed
"Ok, look..." She laughs nervously "I have no idea why this is so hard"
I chuckle.
She takes a deep breath "Ok, so for the past little while, I've kinda liked you" She says quickly "But I completely understand if you dont like me back and I dont want this to ruin our friendship"
I just smile and stare at her "Betty"
Her face crumbles "You know what... Forget I ever said anything" She turns to leave even though this is her house
"No, Betty, you dont understand-" I stand and she turns towards me with tears in her eyes
"Look, Jug, I told you to drop it," She says, anger and sadness filling her voice and I have no idea how to get her to listen so I do the one thing I can think of.
I put my hand on the back of her head and I see her eyes widen right before I kiss her gently. She tenses then relaxes into the kiss. I gently pull away after a couple more seconds and smile
"I like you too, Betty" She throws her arms around me in a tight hug. She's so incredible.
