The car was packed.

Goodbyes were said.

Tears were shed.

All that was left to do was leave.

Off to New York to start a new life.

Off to New York to go to college.

Riverdale will always be the home of Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones.

It will always be the place they met.

"Do you want to use my crayon?" a young Betty Cooper asked Jughead Jones after his black crayon snapped "I'm not using it anymore"

He glanced over at her, pulling his signature crown beanie over his eyes "ok" he muttered.

She cheerfully passed him the crayon, a permanent smile stuck to her face "I'm Betty Cooper! What's your name?"

"Jughead, Jughead Jones"

-

It will always be the place they fell in love

-

"I love you, Betty Cooper," Jughead said, his beanie laying on the table beside him. He rarely ever took off his beanie, but when he did, it was only in front of people he trusted and loved dearly.

Betty slowly turned to face him, a smile creeping onto her face. "Jughead Jones... I love you"

He let out a small sigh of relief, almost as if he wouldn't think she'd say it back, as if it was a surprise that she loved him. But really, anyone with eyes could tell that the pair were madly in love.

She embraced him in a kiss, a kiss that said 'I'm yours', a kiss that said 'I love you with all of my heart', a kiss that said 'We'll be together forever'

-

It will always be the place where their adult lives began

-

"I don't think I got in..." Betty sighed, staring at the unopened envelope that would tell her if she got into the college of he dreams.

"You're Betty Cooper, of course, you got in. They'd be crazy not to let you in" Jughead responded with a small chuckle.

she began to open the envelope before stopping and passing it to Jughead "I'm too nervous, you do it"

"Ok, but you definitely got in, You're Betty Cooper" He opened the envelope and pulled out the letter inside. He read it for a couple seconds and smiled.

"What does it say?" Betty asked, biting her fingernails.

"Betty, you got in"

"I got in?!"

"You got in!"

Her face split into a wide grin "I got in!"

"You did it"

Her smile faltered "That means I have to move to New York..."

"No, it means, we have to move to New York," He said with a smile

-

It was the place they're saying goodbye too. Riverdale will always be their home, but it's finally time for them to start a new chapter in their lives.

It's time for a new start together.

Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones took one last look at Betty's childhood home, somewhere Jughead had spent a great deal of time, before they got into the car, all their belongings packed up in the trunk, and drove away.

As they passed the sign that signaled they were leaving Riverdale, bittersweet tears filled Betty's eyes.

This town was the only home she'd ever known and she was leaving it behind.

She was saying Goodbye to her old life, and Hello to her new one.
