Just Like Glass ~ Bughead Oneshots ~

Sometimes things happen

Jughead's POV

"Hello, is this Jughead Jones?" The woman on the other end of the phone says. 

"Yes..." I'm so confused 

"This is Clarissa from Riverdale hospital, I'm calling in regards to Elizabeth Cooper"

 I sit straight up "Is she ok?" I say.

 "I advise you to come down here," She says, 

I run toward my front door quickly grabbing my coat "I'm on my way"

I burst through the hospital doors and march up to the main desk 

"I take it your Mr. Jones," Clarissa says. 

"Yes, I am. Where's Betty?" I say.

 I look up and down the hallways for any sign of her. 

"She's in room 704 on the third floor." 

I run towards an elevator, still unaware of what happened.

I get off the elevator and immediately find room 704, I knock softly on the door "Betty?" I say nervously. 

She turns her head towards me. 

She has a black eye and some cuts and bruises on her face, not to mention, her left leg is in a cast.

 "Juggie," She says, tears welling up in her eyes. 

"What happened?" I ask, giving her a warm hug.

 "I got into a car accident, someone was texting and driving and I - They just- We crashed into each other," she says, her voice breaking as she sobs. 

"It's ok, Betts. I'm here now." I whisper into her ear as I pull her into another hug.

 "I don't know why someone would do that! I could have died!" She half screams. 

"Shush, Shush... It's ok... It's all ok, Betty." I kiss the top of her head as she slowly relaxes, her small body collapses into my arms. 

"I was so scared, Juggie." She says in almost a whisper.

 "I know... I know..." I reply, my voice muffled by her hair. 

"I wanna go home," She says, looking up at me with her big green eyes. 

"We'll go home soon" 

She smiles weakly "Promise?"

 I chuckle "Promise."
