Me (Hospital Rendezvous)

Dear You,

I'm in the hospital right now. Doc. Winters advise me to be hospitalized after my chemo this morning coz she said she wants to observe me well and do some testing.

Hyun visited me earlier and told me about her short vacation time in Korea. She told me about how she missed her hometown, her family, the scenery and the food. She asked me about the update on the gossip at school but I don't know what to tell her instead I told her about You.

After her visit, Sister Thelma also went back to HH and told me to call them for anything. I just kissed her goodbye and slept all morning.

It was mid-afternoon that I was woken up by noises in my room. What surprised me most was Your voice in my room.

"Mom, will she be okay?" I detected a worry in your voice so I pretended to sleep and listen to your conversion.

"She is at the moment. We are observing her condition and the result will be out any minute from now. I won't discuss her condition to you coz you're not a family member nor the patient. Anyway, why are you here?"

"I came here early to pick you up for our family dinner. I'm your ride tonight coz Dad  will be picking up Arielle at her practice."

There I 'wake up' and looked at them.

"Hi, Rae. What are you feeling?" Dr. Winters checked and looked at me closely.

"I'm fine Doc. A little tired I guess." I smiled at her and look at You.

"Hi, Griffin." You wave your hand and was about to say something when the door opened and enters the three Sisters.

"Oh, your guardians are here. I'll just get the result and be back in five." Dr. Winters leave the room and I was hoping that you are too.

The Sisters take their seat in the chairs and look at you and me.

"Um, Gabe this is Sister Aimee, Sister Anna and Sister Dessa my guardians/mom. Moms this here is Gabe Winters, Dr. Winter's son and my...friend?" I was hesitant at first to call him my friend but one look at him and he was smiling so it means that we are.

"Good afternoon... What should I address y'all? Ma'am? Sister? Your Name?" He was scratching his nape looking shy and I just grinned at his predicament.

"Sister will be fine or our name perhaps. You're friends with Rae? How come we didn't see you on the orphanage?" Sister Dessa asked curiously and I immediately told her the truth given that you're too shocked to answer.

"Actually, we're not that close before. Although I've known him since primary years, we've never interacted with each other aside from a few weeks after my car accident." I looked at you and you had that look in your face again.

I don't know how to explain it but you have that closed off/far-away look at you and was broken when the door opens and your mom came inside.

"Are you all ready for the result?" We all nodded and just listen to her explanation.

In short. It's positive. My treatment is very good. Somewhat my white blood cell count are decreasing in number, hence, the treatment is good. The Sisters are overjoyed with the result. I on the other hand felt a mixture of emotions -happy with the result, sad that I'll have to continue to have my chemo sessions and apprehension for you know almost all my secrets.
