A letter from You to Me

My darling Rae,

I saw this journal in one of the boxes in the attic. I was looking for baby clothes (Kit's old clothes) and her crib when a box fell down and it was your things from our apartment before we live in our dream house.

I can't help myself to read your notes as I saw that my name is mentioned on the first page that I scanned so I read it from the very beginning.

Please don't be mad at me for reading this. Please...

Now, I didn't imagine how you love me way back since primary years. The way you wrote the things you said when we are not yet together pained me the most. If only I profess to you sooner then we will be happy earlier.

The way you described me put a smile on my face and made my heart melt. I love you very much to the point that I'm afraid that I'll suffocate you with it.

With this, I promise to love and never leave you forever in this lifetime and the next life if there is any. I promise to uphold my promises in the church and in the eyes of God. I promised to love you till the day I die.

Now we are adding a member of the family and I'm very much thankful to our Lord above. He gave me you, our son Kit who looks like me but is like you in so many ways, and now our angel will be born anytime soon. I can't thank you enough Lord.

And for you, my loving wife, thank you for being strong, for giving me a son and daughter although at first, we fight because you were afraid to get pregnant because of your cancer and best of all, for being my friend, my number one fan and my life.

I love you very much.
