Writer's Block

Let it be known, I don't actually have writer's block, but this is about it.

Quick question: how do y'all deal with writer's block or a chapter you have no motivation to write? Like what steps do you take?

For example, I write out a broad outline of something(s) I (almost) definitely want to happen during the chapter, and then I write what happens, usually starting off with just simple dialogue and actions/reactions, kind of like a script. Then I fill it out, and do the start of the chapter and the end.

For the last chapter I did this:

Starts off light-hearted, the interviewer and Alex are bantering, it's kind of a talk show setting, everyone is on stage. It's the same guy who interviewed them before the marriage.

Then it's just Alexander and Arianne. He talks a little about the marriage, and then the kidnapping. He asks how Alexander is/was, and the same for Arianne.

Kurt: "A lot has changed since we last met"

At one point, Arianne is holding in tears as Alex vows to not let that happen to him again, for Arianne's and everyone else's sake and he cuddles her.

And at the end I did this:

They wait for the camera light to turn off and Alexander darts off in to his changing room. Arianne follows him, concerned.

"I'm changing here!" Says a shirtless Jayden.

"Please," Arianne rolls her eyes, unimpressed, and hurries over to Alexander who has his head in his hands- probably about to start crying, or he's going to be really angry.

(I know a lot of this doesn't happen, but the chapter is based on this idea and it makes it easier to write. I didn't really know where I was going with the chapter lmao)

Is that what you guys do or something else?

I also do this a lot for future chapters when I can't wait to write them or I have an idea suddenly, which is why some come out a lot faster than others.

But yeah, comment below on what techniques you guys do. I'm curious and I want to try some stuff out lol
