Chapter 34: Call To Home

~Yugi Pov~

We arrived at Caledon city, the sun was setting in the sky so we decided to stay at the Pokemon Center. They're were some people here with their Pokemon of all types. The Nurse Joy smiled as we approach the counter.

"Hi, how may I help you?" Nurse Joy.

"Hey, we wonder if you have any spar rooms, we can check into for the night?" Ash asked kindly. The Nurse smiled sweetly. She read over her paper and looked at us.

"Yes we do but would anybody mind sharing a room. I only have very few left" Nurse Joy asked.

"I don't mind sharing with anybody" Atem said kindly.

"Atem, you could share with me and Yami" Yugi said sweetly as he looked at his tan friend. Atem smirked to himself secretly.

~let see it been 2 MONTHS since the last one so I should start...tonight~ Atem smirk darken and Yami stared at him hard.

Yami jaw dropped then he narrowed his eyes and folded his arms. Atem red eyes sparkled as he looked at me while he smile. I gave him a smile. I notice Yami and gave him kind smile. I lean over to him and he turn his head while he pouted.

"Yami, it's only for one night. It will be okay." I said sweetly to him. Pikachu jumped on Yami shoulder and smiled.

"That is not what I'm worried about" Yami said softly as he stared intensely at Atem. Who just smiled happily.

"Pika-pika!" Pikachu said happily. Yami pout turn into a small smile then he rub under Pikachu chin with one finger and Pikachu cood happily. I smiled at the two

"Please have a seat, your rooms should be ready shortly" Nurse Joy said as she turn around and walked to through the white door in the back.

"Man, I'm so beat. Today was one hell of an adventure.

"Yeah I'm so ready to hit the sheets" Ash said as he stretch his body and yawn.

"I really should call Grandpa before it get to late and tell him about what I've done so far. I'm pretty sure he would be excited to see what new Pokemon I have caught so far" I said.

"Alright. Well me, Brock and Misty are going to go get some food. Well see you later" Ash said. I smiled and nodded as I watch them walk away. I walked over to the green computer and pick up the green phone. Atem and Yami sat on each side of me. I dialed the number and Grandpa appear on the screen. He had big smile on his face. Yami waves at the old man, who happily wave back.

" Hey Grandpa!" I said excitedly. Joey jumped in front of the screen and smiled.

" Hey pops, long time no see that for sure!" Joey said happily. Grandpa smiled and nodded.

" Yugi my boy. How have you been? Have you caught any news Pokemon so far?" Oh and Joey you're grandfather said to call him before you go to bed. He has something he want to give you. He said your really going to need it. Grandpa said. I smiled and nodded my head. Joey gave him thumb up.

"Yeah and a new friend as well. Grandpa this is Atem and this is his Raichu" I said. Atem waved happily. Atem picked up Raichu and place him in his lap.

"Raichu!" Raichu greeted as he wave his paws happily. Grandpa giggled and wave back to the Pokemon.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu said. Yami lean closer to the screen so Pikachu could be in the camera.

"Okay Grandpa. So far I've gotten thunder badge and now we are currently in Caledon city. I've caught a Growlith on the way here actually. Growlith kinda doesn't like me much or say can't stand me" I said with hint of sadness. Yami frown and poke my forehead then smile at me. I gave him a small smile. Grandpa's deeply sigh then gave a small laugh.

"Well I see Yami thinks differently. Anyway Yugi it takes time to build bonds with Pokemon and you known how some fire type are. He will come around I know it" Grandpa said. I smiled at his comforting words and nodded my head. "Now let me see this Growlithe" Grandpa asked. I smile then pulled out my Pokemon and pointed it to the ground.

" Come on out,Growlith" I said. White light shot out from the ball and there sat Growlithe.

"Grrooowl-lith" Growlithe said and looked at us.

" Come here, Growlithe" I said sweetly with my arms out wide for him the jump into. He tilted his head and gave an unsure looked then turn his head away from me. I frown then turn chair back around.

" Sorry Grandpa. I guess you won't get to see him. He won't come to me...maybe i should just release him tomorrow morning. I said sadly as I looked to down. Growlith ears purk up at the mention of release and looked me.

"Pika-chu!" Pikachu said as he jump into not lap and nuzzle under my chin affectionately. I smiled then rub his tail. He cood happily. all sudden Growlithe jump into my lap knocking Pikachu on the ground and sat down in it. Growlith looked back at me then to the camera and bark.

"Pikachu!" I said worriedly. Yami and Atem looked down at Growlith with anger in their eyes then turn to Pikachu and gave him a worriedly look.

"Raichu" Raichu said shockingly then jump down off Atem lap.

"Pika!" Pikachu said as it landed on the ground. Raichu nuzzle Pikachu cheek. Pikachu gave it a small smile.

"Growl-Ruff-ruff" Growlithe said at the camera. Grandpa gave good laugh and smiled.

" It seem that Growlithe doesn't agree with you on that. Anyway Yugi, it getting pretty late and Joey still has to call his Grandfather. I hope to hear from you again soon" Grandpa said. I nodded and wave at him.

"Bye Grandpa" I said. Yami and Atem waved. I gave Growlithe rubbed Growlithe surprising he enjoy it and surprisingly allowed it. I smiled to myself. I felt weight on my head. Pikachu looked down at me from it.

"Hey Buddy, are you okay?" I asked Pikachu. Pikachu smile and nuzzle my hair. I smiled happily. I looked over to Joey then handed him the phone and he began to dial. His grandpa soon appear on the screen.

"Hey Grandpop. What you needed to give me?" Joey said with a smile.
