Chapter 29

*Zayn pov*

After we arrived down town, Scar left the car new a restaurant and we decided to walk around until we decide what we were going to have for dinner. All the time we were walking i was silent, walking by her side with our hands intertwined while she was talking to her parents, showing them around. She would mention her favourite places to shop or to eat, her parents were amazed listening to her and so was I. Just hearing Scarlett talk about the simplest things make me smile like an idiot, the way her perfect pink lips move as they pronounce every word, how she smiles when she remembers something, everything from her make me want to stare at her for hours trying to take in every single aspect from her.

I should be somewhere else so Scarlett could spend time with her family alone, im too selfish i admit it, but its been two weeks since i last saw her and i couldn't be another day without being with her. And now that we have claim our love for each other, the less i want to be away from her. She is like a drug to me, my sweetest drug. Sometimes between her talk with her parents she would look up at me and smile showing her perfect teeth, one time as her parents were looking away i peck her lips making her gasp as she didn't expect me to do that.

We were now eating dinner in some Arabian restaurant her mom had chosen to go. We were sitting in a large table close to the door. Scarlett is sitting by my side, her dad and her mom at the other side of the table, and Parker at the head of the table. I was still holding her hand, even when she pulled it away to sit down i had grabbed it again once we were sat. Her mom is a very sweet woman, she treat Scarlett as an adult and has been so welcoming with me being her daughter's boyfriend, so as her dad they haven't give me any kind of warning or anything related about hurting Scarlett, not that i would nor ever consider but it's been really nice meeting her parents, even if it wasn't planned.

"What do you want to order?" The waitress asks me snapping me away from my thoughts

"I will have whatever you order" I say to Scarlett, and she nods

"So that would be two specials of the day" I say to the lady

"In 30 minutes your food will be ready" She turns around to walk in the kitchen

"So, Zayn" Helen starts speaking

"Hm?" I hums

"Tell me something about you darling. Your family maybe?" She asks me, I frown at the name of my parents, im still very pissed off with them

"Um well i live with both of my parents, Diane and Mark.. um Malik" I respond

"Any siblings?" Scarlett father, Adam asks

"No" I say shaking my head

"What do your parents do, darling?" Helen asks again

"My mom is a doctor and my dad has a company, nothing big" I shrug

Scarlett looks at me as if asking why i am avoiding this conversation of my parents

"Malik? Isnt it that the enterprise company in London?" Her dad asks. Just great

"Yeah that's the one" I say smiling trying to hide the annoyance

"Your dad is an encouraging man" My dad speaks

Im getting enough from this talk about my parents, specially my dad

"How's work?" Scarlett asks avoiding any further mention of my parents

"It's been good. Im now the head of the English department" Her mother says

"That's great mom. Congratulations" She says touching her hand over the table
