Chapter 30

*Scarlett pov*

"Zayn?" A female voice speaks behind us

As we turn around, to my not very happy surprise, Evelyn is standing there with an annoying smile in her face

"Hi Evelyn" Zayn says, showing her a smile

"Hello Scarlett" She greets me but still looking at Zayn

"Evelyn" I reply dryly

"So? What are you doing here?" She asks us, well Zayn

"We were having dinner with Scar´s family" Zayn nods to me hugging me by the side

"Thats so nice! I was going to meet some friends, we´re going to a club, wanna join us?" She asks now looking at both of us

"We´ll pass, thanks though" Zayn gives her a smile which she returns

"Long time no seen Zayn, where have you been" Evelyn asks

"Family trip, I arrived yesterday" 

"Where to?" She asks again. Can the questions be over? We still need to find my parents

"Scar" Parker whispers softly only for me to hear, but Zayn looks down at him as he replies to Evelyn

"Im tired" He whispers again

"It was nice seeing you Evelyn but we should get going, bye"  I smile trying to be nice at her, and grab Parkers hand once again turning around

"See you in school" She says to Zayn and walks away

Zayn catch up with us, and when he does he puts his arm around my waist bringing me closer to him

"Its weird between you two" He says against my hear as his head rest against mine

"How so?" I ask him

"Its like you two hate each other but act otherwise when you are face to face" He says

"I dont hate her, I just despise the fact she eyes you like a hawk since day one and even though she has seen us together she won’t give up on always finding a way to come close to you" I explain him

"Jealous much" He tease

"No" I shake my head

"I think you are, dont be jealous babe im yours and only yours" He whispers in my ear

"Whatever" I ignore his comment

My phone rings in my pocket. I take my hand away from Parkers to grab it

Its my mom who just texted me

"They say they are near the restaurant we had dinner" We stop walking to turn around and walk again to the direction we were coming from

In less than two minutes we spot my parents near the entrance holding some bags, guess they did some shopping.

"There you are!" My dad says as we approach them

"Sorry, we were in a candy shop, Parker was buying some sweets" I say to my parents

"No problem. Should we go now? I feel like my feet are killing me" My mom says and we all agree

"Yeah sure" We walk back to the car placing the bags on the truck

We had arrived home and Hazel was sitting in the living room watching tv. Parker walks to sit down next to her

"Hey park! Had fun?" She asks him

"Yeah it was cool" He says not looking away from the screen
