Sydne's POV
So far today has been great. I started off the morning with running some errands, like going to the grocery store, mailing off some things for my parents, and buying some breakfast for myself. When I got home, I decided to clean around my house to make sure things were clean, because my parents are having some guests over, and I wouldn't want them to have a bad impression on our house. After I was done cleaning, I went up to my room and decided to take a quick nap. That nap ended up being about 2 hours, and it honestly felt so good to have that nap. A few minutes after I woke up, I decided to text my friend Hannah and ask her if she's free to hang out for lunch today. She replied back saying that she had some free time, which means that she was free to hang out with me. I got myself ready, grabbed my purse and put my phone and wallet inside, grabbed my car keys and headed out the door. Hannah and I decided to meet up at the mall and have lunch, because we weren't really in the mood to eat at somewhere more on the pricey side.
Once I got to the mall, I texted Hannah and asked her where she was. She said she was at the food court near Panda Express. When I saw her, and she saw me, we ran towards each other and embraced. It's been a good, long while since I've seen Hannah, so it was good that she was able to hang out today. "How have you been, Han? It's been so long since we've seen each other." I smiled as we pulled away from the hug. "I've been ok. How about yourself?" She smiled. "I've been doing ok." I replied. "So, where would you want to eat? My treat." Hannah smiled. "Awww Han it's ok, you don't have to." I said to Hannah. "No it's ok Syd, I want to." She smiled. "You're too sweet. Thank you." I smiled as I hugged her. "Umm, you up for Panda Express?" I laughed. "Sounds good to me." She giggled back. We got in line and ordered our food. Once we had our food, we walked around to find a table to sit at. Once we sat down, we had a little chat about a bunch of stuff.
"So, how's life going for you, Han?" I asked. "Well, my life is pretty boring, but, I would say it's going ok." Hannah laughed. "How about you, Syd?" She asked. "Well, my life is pretty boring too, but, I would say it's ok too." I laughed. "But, to be honest, I have a feeling that something good will happen to me today." I said to Hannah. "What do you think that would be?" She asked. "Honestly, I don't know. But, I just have a weird feeling that something good will happen to me today." I smiled. After we were finished eating our food, we decided to walk around the mall for a little while, and maybe do some shopping. After spending 2 hours at the mall, Hannah had to go back home and help her Mom out with some things.
------A few minutes later; back at home------
After I got home from the mall, I was super tired, so I decided to take another nap to get some rest. I woke up after 30 minutes, which felt like forever. Once I woke up, I decided to watch some TV downstairs in the family room. While watching, I decided to check my social media, and my emails. But, while I was checking my email, I saw that I received an email from someone that I wasn't familiar with. It read that the email was from a woman by the name of "Sandra Johnson." I was curious to see what she emailed me about, because when I read the subject line, it said, "Opening Act."
The email read:
*Dear Miss. Sydne Ryland, I am wanting to email you about this because, my talent just discovered one of your videos, and they were mesmerized by the beauty of your voice. And so, my talent is wondering and wanting to ask you if, you'd want to be the opening act for their tour they are going on. We'd love to hear back from you as soon as possible. Best Regards, Sarah Johnson*
Is this really happening to me right now? Oh my gosh...
