Chapter 33

Victoria's P.O.V

I really needed to calm down, Harry was right. He was mine, not hers.

But I couldn't help it.

I didn't think I was every the jealous type, but I guess I never had a boy to be jealous over.

And the way that she looked at him... It brought out the claws that I didn't know were there.

When our slutty waitress returned, she brought two cokes back.

"What can I get you two lovebirds to eat?" She sneered at the word, then put on a bored expression.

Harry took a sip of his coke while I stared at mine.

"Um... I asked for sprite." I told her, confused.

"Oh did you? That's cool, and I asked for a raise last week but guess what?" She slammed her notepad down on the table and moved in close to me, "I didn't get it."

"Oooookay that's enough. I either want another waitress or we are leaving." Harry said, standing up. He towered over the girl and looked very intimidating.

"Is there a problem here sir?" A woman in a nice dress walked over to him. Her name tag said Manager.

"Yeah as a matter of fact, there is. This waitress here feels the need to be very rude to my girlfriend." He said. It was official- my scary Harry was back.

"And she feels the need to have her eyes all over my boyfriend." I said, standing up myself, sandwiching the girl between me, her manager and Harry.

"Is this true Amanda?" Her manager turned to her with a scowl on her face.

"Yeah, is it Amanda?" I repeated.

"No! Of course not!" Amanda said.

The manager narrowed her eyes at the cowering coworker and then turned to us. "I am sorry," She said. "Believe it or not, this isn't the first complaint we've had over her. I think it's about time we dealt with it accordingly. What do you think Miss. Amanda?"

"Oh... I think we should just let it go. Laugh it off, you know? This was all just a big misunderstanding, I wasn't flirting with him! I just... choose to talk to him first! I am sorry that you failed to see that, it's how I do my job." She tried to explain.

"So... What was that about a raise you asked for last week? You seemed pretty upset about not getting it." Harry pointed out.

"Raise! I don't know what you're talking about, I am happy with my pay!" Amanda said frantically. She seemed to have realized now that she messed with the wrong couple.

I smiled.

"Raise? Are you still angry about me not accepting your raise request?! And now you see why! You're harassing customers and sharing your frustrations with the company over a raise denial! You are extremely bad for business! Miss. Amanda, I'm afraid I am going to have to ask you to leave! I can't have a waitress working like this in my restaurant! You're fired."

"Fire me?!" She squealed. "But Mrs. Welder you know I need this job! What will I do without it!"

"Well I guess you should have thought of that before you did everything in your power to lose it. Go to my office. Now." She said.

"But!" Amanda tried to protest.

"Now!"

In shame, the woman walked away.

"I am so sorry about her inability to contain herself to give you great service. Please, stay. I will be happy to take your order and give you the meal on the house for your trouble. Is that alright?"

Me and Harry looked at each other, he shrugged his shoulders, the angry look on his face now gone.

I gave him an equal undecided look.

"Well a free meal doesn't sound so bad, I am still hungry." He said.

I nodded, "We can stay." I gave a smile to the manager.

"Great!" She said, "Give me a quick second to grab a pen and I can take your order." She scurried off while me and Harry sat back down.

After our lunch was over, she came back to our table one last time to check on us.

"How was the food?" She asked.

"It was really good." I said, "I have never been here before."

"Well that's good! I am very sorry that your first visit here was less than pleasant. I hope you won't let one sour experience keep you away though."

"I don't think it will." I smiled.

"No. We will be back." Harry said, looking at me.

"Great! Like I said, your meal is all paid for so you two have a good day!"

We walked out of the restaurant holding hands. As we do, I hear sobbing coming from around the corner.

"Yes, I got fired. No I don't know what I'm going to do! This job was getting me through college."

Amanda.

"Stupid bitch." Harry muttered under his breath.

"Yeah and they wouldn't even tell me why they fired me either! Just said that I 'wasn't a good worker' " She paused, "Yeah, I know right? I don't know where they got that from! I'm the best worker this place had! I guess a few dumb customers had complaints about me but I think they were just having a bad day and wanted to ruin my life."

Harry snorted so loud that Amanda heard him.

"I found the two that got me fired. Thanks assholes." She said.

We heard a chink off of Harry's car and a small rock rolled down to my feet.

She was throwing rocks at us.

Harry looked back at her and I held him back, scared for her safety- as much as I didn't like her.

"You're lucky that didn't chip my windshield or college payments wouldn't be the only thing you're paying off. Have fun in the unemployment line you dumb bitch!" Harry shouted to her. "Get in the car." Harry huffed, rushing me along- probably before the girl found anything bigger to throw.

I rushed in as Harry threw the car into reverse. We heard a few more chinks off the back windshield. Harry just turned on the wipers as we sped off

"That bitch is crazy!" I said, as I looked back to see her screaming at our car.

"Yeah, she is." Harry said. "And I already have enough crazy women in my life."

I began to laugh, thinking he was talking about me, but when I turned to look at him, his face was serious. I wondered what he meant by that.

I decided to let it go and remained quite.

I know updates have been strange for quite a while, and they will probably continue to be strange since I have quite a few ideas being cooked up and they are taking some of my attention away from Wattpad.
