Chapter 24

Paige's P.O.V

I ran after Harry as he barged through the mall looking for his girlfriend. I had so much trouble keeping up.

"Would you slow down?" I huffed, bumping into people as I passed through his wreckage. "Sorry, excuse us, I'm sorry. Kinda in a hurry!" I called to angry faces behind us.

He didn't listen and just kept pushing through the crowd.

"Harry!" I barked at him just as we stepped into a clearing.

He stopped straight in his tracks and I ran straight into him. I was caught off balance but he didn't even move.

"What the fuck..." I began before I moved beside him to see what he was staring at.

Stefanie and Victoria facing off again. In the middle of the mall.

Victoria's P.O.V

All I remember was running. Running so fast that everything was blurred, either from my tears or how fast I was running, I wasn't sure.

I bumped into many people as I ran and I heard many angry shouts from behind me but I didn't stop. Not until I heard one voice.

One voice that pierced through the crowd, shrill and loud. 

"Watch where you're going you butthead!" 

I stopped in my tracks as ice shot down my spine. Not her.

I slowly turned on my heel. Staring at me was a very angry Stefanie, greeting me with glowing red eyes.

Tell me this isn't happening.

"Where the hell are you going so fast?" She asked, coming in closer on me.

I felt myself shrink down. I didn't expect to have to deal with her for another few months or so. I was hoping to never have to deal with her again since Harry would be there to protect me. But I guess I don't know whose side he was on now...

I felt the circle close in on me again, just like high school. People watching, always watching. No one helps, they just watch the suffering. My suffering.

Where was Paige? Where was my angel? Whose side was he on anyway?

"Go away." I told her, my voice sounding stronger than I felt. I had a lump in my throat the size of a golf-ball.

"You look sad." She said, ignoring my plea to go away. "I talked to your boyfriend earlier. He seems really unhappy. Know anything about that?" She sneered at me.

"You don't know what your talking about." The lump in my throat grew to the size of a tennis-ball. What did she mean unhappy?

"Oh you don't think I do? I know him better than you do sweetie. I did date him for over a year. I think I know what I'm talking about."

I just stood and stared at her. "I don't need this right now." I said. I began to turn on my heal and walk away but her voice called me back.

"I just thought you'd want to know your boyfriend said he misses me!" She called to my back.

I felt a fire light deep in my soul. I turned around and got right in her face so quick that even she flinched.

"Let's get one thing straight." I said through clenched teeth, "I already beat your ass once and stole your boyfriend. Let's not make it so I have to embarrass you again, shall we? I am sick of your shit. I have your boyfriend and I took your dignity. What more else could you possibly have for me to take from you? Your popularity? You gave me that yourself the day you decided to constantly bully me. Everyone in this town knows my name because of you. I have everything you want and you can't stand that can you? Well I can only tell you one thing. Harry loves me and not you. Get over it."

I turned around in just enough time to see the crowd part ways. I began to walk through the gap, thinking they were moving for me, but then I saw Harry and Paige come through the opening.

My eyes grew wide and my first thought was to rush over to Harry and hug him, but then I thought about what he did to me and my face grew grave again.

"Victoria I-" Harry began, rushing over to me and holding his arms out. 

I didn't look up. I didn't even look in his direction. I didn't turn to see the face I left on Stefanies face or Paige's. I ignored the crowd because none of them cared enough about me anyway. I just made my way through the opening Harry had left and kept going. I still didn't know where I was going, what I was doing, or how I was going to get home but I did know one thing. I wasn't going to trust anybody til I got to the bottom of what happened between Stefanie and Harry.
