Victoria's P.O.V:

I woke up in an unfamiliar setting and tried to figure out where I was. I felt comfortable... but uneasy.

It took me a moment to wonder why it was so dark. That couldn't be right? Could it?

"Fuck, Harry!" I screamed, jumping up.

His arm immediately fell off of me and he jumped up, awake.

"Baby? What happened, what's wrong?" He asked rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.

"We fell asleep late again! What time is it? Oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck! Mom is going to be livid tonight!" I patted frantically around the bed, not really accomplishing much but I was being too frantic to really care about that.

"Baby! Baby, relax. It's okay." He grabbed my wrists to stop them from their frantic search of the sheets.

"No, no it's not okay!" I said, less frantic than a few minutes ago. His touch was always calming to me no matter what mood I was in.

"Just tell her you spent another night at Paige's house." He told me. "It's 1 am."

"But won't she wonder why I didn't tell her sooner?" I asked, wracking my brain for every possible scenario that could make this situation worse.

"Maybe." He shrugged, "But do you have a better alternative?" He raised an eyebrow at me.

Knowing I had no other options, I sighed and reached for my phone.

Moving to my mother's contact in my phone, I debated on the right way to tell her and what excuse I would use.

*Hey mom, I'm spending another night at Paige's house.*

I hesitated, what reason would I have for not telling her sooner? I've already used so many excuses lately, I didn't want to use the same ones again and again.

Harry saw me hesitate and reached out his hand, asking for the phone.

I gave it to him and then frantically said, "Don't send anything yet."

"I won't. I just want to see what you've got so far."

"I don't know what else to tell her. What excuse could I possibly have for not telling her until one in the morning?" I asked.

"You could tell her you were out and didn't have a charger. Or you could act like you sent it sooner and it was the phones fault it didn't send until later." He suggested.

"How are you so good at coming up with lies?" I asked. I had a feeling this was going to become a problem in the future.

"I don't know. Once you do it so much, it just comes naturally now."

"I feel slightly startled that you can lie so easily on the spot." I surprised myself by saying. Normally I never would have said that before.

"I won't lie to you," He promised, reading my mind.

"I wasn't-" I began to protest, but he silenced me by grabbing my hand and kissing it.

He seemed as startled as I was by the sweet gesture and immediately dropped my hand.

To avoid the now awkward situation, I looked back down at my phone.

"Just tell her. What's done is already done." He said softly.

I knew he was right.

I texted her, *Hey Mom, I'm sorry I waited so long to tell you but my phone died. I'm spending another night at Paige's house. We were out bowling with her family and lost track of time. Hope you're not mad*

I showed Harry the message before I sent it to get his approval.

"That works," He shrugged. "Now come lay down with me again," he yawned, stretching.

"Okay," I smiled, curling up under his arm. I liked sleeping next to him.

I feel asleep again without a problem.
