Victoria's P.O.V
I was sitting in my treehouse, drying my tears. I might not leave here tonight.
My mom was livid when I walked in the house. So much so that she didn't even look at me when I walked in.
You know when you're so angry that you're calm? That was my mother when I walked in the house.
Finally when she started screaming, I tried to explain what happened as best as I could through the tears.
It was hard because I was never very good at lying.
I was just glad that Harry was coming back over. I wanted to see him again. I also wanted to tell him that I couldn't keep doing that.
As much...um... fun as that was, I couldn't keep coming up with excuses as to where I was. I just wasn't cut out for it.
As I waited in my treehouse, my phone rang. Excited, I ran to grab it, thinking it was Harry.
It was Paige.
"Hello?" I answered, confused.
"Hey!" She answered in her cheery voice.
"What's up?" I asked, still trying to figure out what she wanted.
"Nothing, I just wanted to hear how your night with Harry went." I just picture her knowing grin and wink she would be giving me if I was with her.
Good thing I wasn't, because my face burned bright red at the thought.
"It was fine." I said simply. I wasn't about to tell her what happened... Especially since I wasn't 100% sure myself.
"...Did anything happen?" She pressed. I knew she wouldn't let me go without at least a few details to sedate her ever-growing thirst for gossip.
"Well... We got back to his house and ate dinner." I started, trying to be as descriptive as possible with as little detail as possible about the big stuff I didn't want her to know.
"...And?"
"Then we went to sleep."
"We're you guys in the same bed? Did you do anything?" She asked.
"Yes we were in the same bed but no, nothing happened." I lied. She didn't need to know that his hands were on me. That was for me only to know. She would just ask for even more details that I wasn't comfortable giving, or was even capable of giving.
My skin tingled as I thought about his hands roaming across my body.
"You're telling me he managed to keep his hands off of you?" She laughed.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked, not really sure how to take that.
"He's a guy. And he has his girlfriend in bed with him. What else is supposed to happen?"
"He is a gentleman." I defended him.
"Sure, he might be. But that doesn't mean he wouldn't want to sleep with you." She said.
"Did you and Zayn do anything?" I asked her, annoyed.
"No." She said, as if there was nothing wrong with that.
"Then why have you been questioning me!" I asked, exasperated.
"Well if I don't have a sex life at the moment, I wanted to see if you did."
I didn't even know what to say to her at the moment.
"Look, I gotta go okay. I'm waiting for Harry to show up."
"Again?" She asked.
"Oh! He's here! Bye!" I lied.
"Huh? Wait!" She said, right before I hung up.
I breathed a sigh of relief. Don't get me wrong, I love that girl to death but sometimes she can be... a bit much.
Where was Harry anyway? He said he was going to be here
I picked up my phone and decided to call him. After a few rings, I heard the phone hang up, not even going to voicemail.
Did he just deny my call?
I tried again, this time the phone immediately hung up. What the fuck?
I went to our text messages and saw that he hadn't responded to my 'I love you' text.
*Where are you?* I texted *Answer my call*
I waited for ten more minutes for his answer. As I waited, I felt my eyes getting heavy. Within a few more minutes, I was fast asleep.
Harry's P.O.V:
I walked in the door to my apartment and slammed my keys down on the coffee table. Fuck this shit, I'm so done for tonight. All I wanted was a beer and my girl. I walked to the fridge to grab one of those things and reached in my pocket to call the other one.
Wait... where the hell did I put my phone?
Cracking the top off the beer, I fumbled around patting all of my jean pockets. Did I set it down when I walked in?
Looking around the living room, my phone wasn't there. And then it hit me. Shit.
I must have left it at the mall.
That little snake probably left it there, threw it out, or worse, she could have taken it.
"Fuuuuck," I groaned. I knew where I was gonna have to go tomorrow.
I'd have to go back to that stupid mall and see her. She was going to be sitting right where we were talking last. I knew it. I knew it because I knew her.
I flopped on the couch and flipped on the TV. This apartment was a lot lonelier without my girl in it.
I never thought I would feel loneliness. I just wanted her wrapped in my arms, providing warmth for me.
Instead, I tried to sound less pathetic and threw a blanket over my legs for warmth and soon fell fast asleep, beer still in hand.
