Flying over an air-vent I smile and watch as Valka extends her hands. Hiccup doing the same as he lays on his back holding on to the Night Fury.
Valka showing off glides from dragon to dragon, trust clear as the dragon's guide her through the air.
Valka and Hiccup fly over the air-vent and she gestures to me as if wanting me to join them.
"Ready Rogue?" I question the black galaxy dragon as if she could answer back in my native tongue.
A playful grin is all I need before we rise above the air and into the near cloud-free sky.
Val breathes in the air, "Oh, when I'm up here, I don't even feel the cold,".
"I just feel..." She leaves the statement opened.
"Free," her son finishes understanding exactly where she was coming from. It's like they always say, like mother, like son.
"This is what it is to be a dragon, Hiccup," Val grins as she gestures to the opened sky filled with flying opportunities.
Knowing how great Hiccup was at creating things I sat amused, "It's all well and good to call yourself a dragon, but can you fly?" He locked a fin and unhooked himself from his saddle and pulled his arms down as if attaching sleeves. Then he jumps catching the wind as he flies back up allowing the wind to do it's job.
Toothless watches proudly as his 'Master,' and friend flew through the air with him as he always wanted. Cloudjumper looks in awe and Toothless watches in amusement, before realizing how smug he actually looked.
The moment is short lived as a snowy arch comes in his way and saving his master Toothless pushes forward and flies right through the whole wrapping himself around Hiccup.
I land near the inventor as he yells, "Man, almost! We just about had it that time,"
"Incredible,"
"That was really cool,"
"Well, not bad yourself," Valka admires the suit before looking before her very handsome son.
"All this time, you took after me. And... where was I? I'm so sorry, Hiccup," I walk away not wanting to hear this. The emotions, the sentiment, the tears, just weren't me anymore.
Rogue followed me as she looked at me concerned.
"I think it may be time to leave again Rogue," I mumbled as I watched the snow fly in the wind.
I heard her sigh and whine as she leaned on my shoulder, "We've done what we set out to do. She's found her son, she's happy now and there's no more for us," I explained as I pulled down my hair warming my neck. It was getting a bit chilly.
"You know we can't impose she's found what she's been looking for. We're still looking, it's out there, I'm sure of it," I pet Rogue's head lovingly as she nodded understanding me.
"A friend once told me, what you're looking for is inside, you just haven't found it yet," A voice broke my from my thoughts.
"Your friend must have been wise, because now you know who you are," I agreed as I looked to face Hiccup. Valka sat atop her dragon as she laid back a few miles away.
Toothless and Rogue played in the snow.
"We would love to have you back in the village," Hiccup tries.
"I'm still searching Hiccup, I've got places to see and things to do, people to help," I rest my case and we're thrown into silence.
"So what's the plan?" I ask as I face the sitting Viking who appears to be deep in thought.
