CHAPTER 16
I dive to the right behind a rock. I can hear her moving closer, then the rock cracks. A sound almost like lightning readies and the rocks breaks into. Ok, time to move. I slip off my scarf, and I can hear her readying another blast. It's takes around 4 seconds, but as weak as she's getting, the time it takes may change. She sighs, and I take that as I my chance to move, I slide from behind the rock, my steps light, and dash in front of her. It won't last long, but just enough, I wrap the scarf around her hands, and pull it back. Her hands are now tied behind her neck. I send a roundhouse kick right for her chest. She's thrown back hitting a tree.
The scarf turns to ash, and her eyes change to a dark purple. Oh man.
With a new vigor she jumps up, and runs towards me, before I can react her hand is wrapped around my neck.
She pulls me closer towards her, and then I'm thrown straight into Victoria and Luke.
"Saph," Victoria gasps at seeing me struggle to stand.
"This is how it all ends," Silvio announces as she prepares a bigger, darker orb.
Then with nothing to spare, she aims, and a steady stream of power feels the distance between us.
On instinct I lift my hands up, the orb feels so hot, so heavy, but yet so enlightening.
"Sapphire! You're doing it!" Luke yells.
I stand taking in all the power, as it feels my veins, and little by little I move forward pacing myself.
"Guah!" Silvio drained leans to the floor. Before I can get to her Draco stands in front of me, using his metal arm his hand comes a few inches from my face before I stop him. My palm the only force it takes. I open his hand, his palm facing up.
His human arm tries once again, but high kick his cheek causing him to fall to the ground so I twist his metal arm behind his back and lift my other hand up, on instinct a gold circle bounces up and down.
"Nice of you to protect your wife and all, but it's pathetic really," I smile and place the orb in his metal arm. The gold incase his arm, and then it decreases folding in on itself.
"Nice," Vic compliments.
"Thanks," I grin, as Draco himself, folds as if paper.
A deranged cry comes from him, before he folds smaller and smaller, then he's gone as if he wasn't there before.
"You won't get away with this," Silvio whispers, then stands from her bent over position, and throws multiple shots. I catch one, then place it in my other hand, completely changing color. It comes right back at her. She leans for a long metal shard, and coats it with her blast. She runs right for me, and swings, I dodge down to the left, before sending an elbow to her face.
Her saber, yeah I'm gonna call it a saber, comes around again, and I lean back. I flip backwards, her saber finding it's way between my legs. Then I lick my legs involuntarily, and her saber flies through the air. I catch the end not coated in plasmablast.
I notice her gone, I look up to see her fleeing.
"Let's end this," at that I send the blade flying through the air sticking her to the ground. She struggles to pull it out, but groans realizing her cloak was now stuck.
"You're really going to kill your mother," she whines as I walk towards her, my steps fast. I can't let her get away.
"The thought had crossed my mind," before she can utter another word, I land a punch right on the edge of her forehead. She's out like a light.
"Nicely done," Luke nods his head.
"I learned from the best," I pull both Vic and him in for a hug.
"Victoria?" Hiccup finally remembers.
"Uh, yeah," she awkwardly walks forward, wrenching her hands together.
"Wow, it's been like," Hiccup struggles to find the words, he rubs his head before continuing, "forever," they both finish.
"Yeah it has, I meant to stay. I really did, but you know Silvio is pretty convincing," Victoria answered nervously.
"I'm glad you're back," he pulls her in for a hug, "both of you," he pulls me in as well.
"I think we're both glad to be back," Victoria answers for us as we're pulled together by the others.
"I don't know who you are, but I like you," Ruffnut smiles genuinely. I've never seen her sooooo, smiley. It's scary really.
"Hiccup, I know Berk is kind of full," I winced knowing we'll have to work extra hard for food.
"Yes?" he says as if wanting me to continue.
"Well, my brother Luke, he needs a place to stay, seeing as the rest of his family are psycho world conquerors," I pause allowing that to sink in.
"Any family of yours, is family and welcomed to Berk," Hiccup smiled shaking the hand of Luke.
"Thank you," Luke returned.
"Boy am I glad to be amongst friends," I truly smiled as I pulled Astrid close.
"Thank you,"
"For what," she asks pulling away.
"For handing me over," I respond.
"Why?" She asks near tears, "I won't ever be able to forgive myself," she closes her mouth.
"Please do, because I understood, and I still do," I let her know, because although betrayal is something most people deem wrong, I want Astrid to know how much I am grateful for her.
"You're a great friend you know that?" Astrid wiped the small tears, as she pat my shoulder.
"I learned from the best," I glance towards Victoria as she listened to Fishlegs, most likely admiring the way he spoke so animatedly.
