Notes/ Background: Silvio (mother) disappeared when Sapphire was 6 months old. Raised with Hiccup until the age of 5 when her wings appeared.
Her father Drago, seared the wings of an unknown dragon onto her back. From then on she kept to herself learning more and more about the Dragons. Cutting off ties to Vikings except for Gobber.
She has no memories except for flashbacks that come when she sleeps.
Revealed Background: Sapphire's mother is a rare Hybrid of a dragon and human, known to man as Dyo Plasmata. Or rather known to Gothi as Dyo Plasmata, greek for two creatures. Each human with this ability get's one trait from whatever creature chosen. Sapphire's mother was the rare case where she got 2 traits: wings and plasmablasts.
The reason why Sapphire has wings is because her main trait was the plasmablasts, but she hadn't discovered them yet. Silvio ordered for Draco to burn the wings onto her daughter's back to ensure she was a Dyo Plasmata.
Drago's trait was an ability similar to the Alpha. He is able to control the dragons, the twins are just whole hybrids which is much more common than a Dyo Plasmata.
Sapphire was and still is the only Dyo Plasmata to earn the plasmablasts other than her mother which makes her extremely powerful. Although very powerful, Sapphire has one weakness, and that is water. If in any way water were to cover her entire body as she is readying a plasmablast it would act as a conductor. Then would combust essentially killing her.
