The sun peeks through my window alerting me that everyone should be waking up. I slept, but the nightmares made it difficult to rest. I stand and rush towards the bathroom before everyone else, taking a cold shower, brushing my teeth.

I slip on a blue shirt I had worn quite a bit and you could tell. Black leather Jeans, and brown hood. I braid my hair down my side and reach for my quiver.

"Are you ready Sapphire?" Hiccup's voice travels through my room from the door.

"Yes,"

"Astrid is waiting outside with Diamond," Hiccup continues.

"Thanks, have a good day," I brush past the chief as he opens up a new book, mostly about the dragons.

"You too," he calls out as I make my descent down the stairs.

The snow has slightly melted, and the Vikings begin the day as Dragons fuel the sky.

"They're serving breakfast in the Stone Hall," Astrid handed me the reigns as she explained.

"Thanks," I reach into my bag finding some fruit and give it to Diamond.

I mount my horse and easily slide into her saddle, "You can fly, I'll catch up," I mumble as I kick the side of my horse causing her to start at an easy trot.

"You sure?" Astrid hovers near me.

"Yes,"

"Okay, I'll see you there," At that she's off high into the sky. Oh, what I would give to be in the sky again. Silvo was right, I don't deserve it.

As I admire the snow and the beautiful icicles Diamond moves faster and we're off riding at speeds I've grown used to.

Waves from Vikings come in as I nod my head in return not showing a smile. Finally, we arrive at our destination, so I tie my horse's reins to a fence near a burning fire. Just to keep her warm. I slip off my mask, open the doors and silently walk in. Astrid waves me over towards the Twins, Snotlout, Fishlegs, Eret, and Hiccup.

"Hi," I give a curt nod and sit setting my quiver on the floor near my feet.

"Hey, Sapphire! It's good to see you," Ruffnut smiles. She was never one to be nice so this was quite surprising.

"Nice to see you too," I keep my responses simple, short, and to the point.

I can only assume not wanting to make me seem uncomfortable, they continue their conversation. I only listen in as I grab a piece of warm bread that sits in the middle of the table.

"I bet my dragon could be yours in a race," Snotlout boasts to Eret.

"Psh, whatever," Eret brushes off as he sips whatever's in his drink.

"Only one way to find out," Fishlegs grinned at the thought.

"Dragon race!" The twins exclaim hitting their heads together.

"I said it first!"

"No, I said it first!"

Ignoring the arguing twins Snotlout stands slamming his drink onto the table, "Dragon race at Midday, the first person from the Stonehall to the Cove wins," he smirks.

"You're on," Eret agrees as they shake on it.

Horns alert the Vikings that it's time for chores, "Classes start at the second horn," Astrid says to me as we follow the line and outside.

The snow has melted quite a bit and puddles litter the ground. The waterfalls gush with more and more water. I grab my horse's reins and Astrid has Stormfly, we walk down the stone steps and toward the Arena. Three classes are separated and you can tell who they are leveled. You have the beginners class which range from 10-13. Each has a weapon, but no dragon just yet. The Intermediate class, which is from 14- 16, their dragons stand proudly next to them but with no saddles. The Advanced class has both dragons and weapons along with a saddle that ranges from 17-19. There are about 4 kids in each class.
