Ava sifted to her side and found herself in bed alone. She pushed back the cover and got out of bed. She checked her phone to see that Colin had left her a message.
Sorry I left you, but I had to make an appearance I’ll be back soon, I love you
Ava threw her phone on the bed and pushed her hair out of her face. They had beat one battle but still had a many more to face. Them being apart was not a great time right now, but she would try and hold back. The doorbell rung and she headed down the stairs to answer it. Ashley was holding boxes and Ava opened the door so she could come in.
“Where do you want these?”
“In my office, let me help you.”
Ava took two of the boxes and headed to her in home office. It was getting crowded in there and she was really glad Colin had gotten her a bigger space, which she would think him for when he returned home.
“These came in today, I guess this are the fabrics for your show.”
Ava nodded her head.
“Is this all of it?”
“All that came in today yes.”
“Alright thanks.”
“Are you coming by the store tomorrow?”
“I’ll try my best.”
Ashley nodded her head and left the house. Ava walked into Carson’s room and woke him up for his feeding. While she was in the middle of feeding him Colin walked in.
“Hey baby.”
“Hi,” she greeted him.
He kissed her forehead and headed to the kitchen.
“I’ll cook dinner tonight, since you’re busy with Carson.”
“Ok, and thanks for my studio it’s getting kind of crazy in my home office.”
Colin smiled to himself.
“You’re welcome.”
She burped Carson and sat him in his swing going to wrap her arms around her husband.
“I love you.”
He unwrapped her arms and moved her in front of him, kissing her nose, forehead, and then lips.
“I love you too.”
Ava placed her arms around Colin’s neck and they were about to kiss again until Carson started crying. Colin pulled away from Ava and the crying stopped.
“I think someone’s jealous.”
Colin shook his head and kissed Ava anyway, ignoring their crying baby. She tapped his shoulder and he pulled away. The baby looked at Colin like had lost his mind kissing on his mama.
“Little boy if it hadn’t of been for me kissing on your mama YOU wouldn’t be here.”
Carson titled his head to the side almost like he was deep in thought and started reaching for Ava. She picked him up and Carson snuggled into her chest looking at Colin smiling. Ava laughed and Colin shot her a glare.
“You gotta go to sleep tonight, little boy.”
Carson looked up at his mother and started babbling about something to her. Colin smiled as he watched the two interact. It was times like this that he loved the most about being a father and a husband.

“You should really grow the beard back,” Ava said rubbing her husband’s face.
