Two Years Later
"Colin," Ava yelled up the stairs.
Their youngest son Lennox was trying to walk and she didn't want Colin to miss it. He ran down the stairs with their two oldest sons hot on his tail.
"What is it baby?"
"Lennox is trying to walk and I didn't want you to miss it."
Colin watched as Ava let go of Lennox's hand and he wobbled over to his father. Colin smiled as he bent down to pick up his son.
"I big boy now."
Ava's eyes filled with tears and she went into the kitchen. She wasn't ready for any of her boys to grow up and Lennox finally walking left her feeling empty, like any day now she wouldn't be needed. Carson walked into the kitchen behind his mother and hugged her.
"I still love you mama."
Ava laughed a little. Carson was starting school next month and that wasn't helping her nerves in the slightest. Her first born was six years old and looked more like his father with each passing day. After Spencer had turned one, Ava practically begged Colin to have another baby. A little after Spencer's second birthday the latest member to their family was born. Lennox Scott Kaepernick filled a void that Ava had been missing, and now that he was walking she didn't know how she would deal.

Ava laid down on Colin's chest and he rubbed her back.
"What's the matter?"
"Nothing."
Colin sifted so that he could look into Ava's eyes.
"Don't lie to me."
Ava took a deep breath.
"I don't feel needed anymore, I mean Carson is going to school in a few months, Spencer is walking and talking, Lennox is beginning to fed himself, and you're grown-"
Colin stopped Ava from talking with a kiss.
"You're still very useful around the house Ava. I can't cook and clean the way that you do, and the boys love you so much, just like me."
Ava smiled as Colin kissed her forehead.
"I want a little girl."
Colin looked at her like she was crazy.
"Nope, we have three kids already Ava, my playground won't be the same after a while."
Colin watched as Ava's head dropped. He loved his wife and wanted to give her whatever she asked for, but this was something that he needed to think about.
"In a couple of years if you still feel the same way about wanting a little girl, we can work it."
Her eyes lit up and she kissed his lips passionately.
"Thank you."
He pecked her lips.
"You're welcome."

Ava laughed as Lennox splashed around in the pool. It was a nice day outside and Colin suggested that they go out and have fun in the sun. Colin, Carson, and Spencer were in the deep end of the pool throwing water on one another. Ava stayed with Lennox in the shallow end.
"I go with daddy."
"Are you sure?"
Lennox nodded his head. Ava picked him up and swam over to where Colin was.
"He wanted his daddy," Ava smiled.
Colin took Lennox and Ava started floating on her back.
"How do you do that mama," Carson asked.
"Come here."
Carson swam over to his mother and she showed him how to properly and he laughed as he felt the water began to pull him from the waves his mother was creating with her movements. Colin watched as Ava played with their sons. He knew that Ava was a damn good mother. Watching her stomach grow with his sons had made him the happiest man alive and no matter how hard he tried to suppress the fact that he wanted another baby, he just couldn't. He walked over to where she was and hugged her from behind.
"Let's do it?"
"Do what?"
"Have our little girl."
Ava turned around and smiled up at her husband. She loved him more than life itself and she was over the moon that they had been able to work out their differences. Life without him wouldn't be worth living. She kissed him with everything that she had.
"We have a pretty good life baby girl."
"That we do," she said rubbing his arm that was wrapped around her.
